Had him for a long time then got sidetracked by O'Meara, still may bring him in with a correction trade.

Done. He looked really shRp out there.
fine in DT/AF but I don't think he can keep it up in SC ...

Not sure but he's priced at 80, will definitely hit the 500k mark.

No point bringing him in now unless you plan on keeping him.. wouldn't waste 2 trades for a $100K gain.

It was one game, don't jump the gun just yet.

The Carlton Mids were relatively non existant. Once Cripps, Kerridge comes back in expect Murphy to balance out a bit. Still calling 100-105 average.

Agree, needs to become a keeper for you to bring him in now. If he is averaging 110+ in a month or so then grabbing him under 550k is still fine, but I'd wait for now

Months of study, statistical analysis, forums etc and one game in people willing to throw out all of it based on a single performance.     Even if Murphy has a great season and goes 110+ against mids chosen you are down maybe 100-150 points.   Cash generation comes from our rookies and chosen midpricers.      Hang tough and back you plans in.

If Cripps plays better it helps Murph out. Kerridge was named an emergency so he wasn't picked on form heading into the season and has no bearing on Murphy and his scores.

Last night we saw the benefits of a full pre-season from Murphy. Kreuzer gave the mids first use last night, next week against Gawn it will likely be a different scenario. His agility was insane last night, I haven't seen anything like that from him in years.

Having said that,  I don't know if you can afford to bring him in at this point unless you have a spare 120k and O'Meara is reallly poor or gets injured. The correctional trades will have to be for rookies and Butler put his name up for a nice price rise already.

Cash generation from Murphy will be far superior to Pickett who looks like being a royal dud. I'm actually thinking about ways to get Pickett out and bring Murphy in with one trade.

It's also the JLT games, he's only performed in one match thus far. It's going to be painful to watch this guy as he attempts to get to 250k.

RaisyDaisy

Surely you had to know Pickett was going to put up scores like last night's

I did, and I still picked him

Murphy $432,500 + Pickett $123,900 = $563,400

An average rookie (not necessarily Butler (hindsight etc etc) but say Eddy, Parfitt, Houstonwehaveaproblem, Barrett) $120,000 + Pickett $123,900 = $243,900

Which frees up $319,500

Which turns Thurlow (ha) into say Laird, Shaw, Adams (all keepers acc to most).

Same if not better cash generation and prob save a trade because I think those defenders are more likely keepers than Murphy.

remember that the first game is only relevant to 1 price rise! if butler spuds next week and pickett fires watch the flip flops in who makes more money!  caught me out before! leave the rage trades for round 3! i hope this is the case! ps cripps better bloody fire next week!

sorry posted that on the wrong thread!
