I think Hanley goes to wing/half back and gives them the run, carry and polish they hoped they would get from Malceski. Lyons and Barlow probably play that high half forward role and are rotational mids.
Ablett rotated fwd/mids too.
Touk is starting to look juicy. He's got me thinking.

Me too if I decide to ditch Ryder as Ruck coverage Miller will definitely came into consideration.

He is tempting but one of those awkward priced players that might pay off or might just stagnate in the FWD's I hate making these type of decisions  :-\

I think Touk is going to suck a lot of people in

He only scored well when getting 28+ touches and laying a lot of tackles

When gets under 25 possessions, his SC scoring is poor

Can't see him regularly getting 30+ touches with all the Suns inclusions

I'm a big fan of him, but probably not for SC atm

He only scored well when playing midfield, its not about under over touches, its all about role.

the last 9 games of the yr he was moved to the midfield, in that time his avg was 100 and that included a 53 in there.

q. is can you afford to not start him if his name is next to Swallows in the line up

We all know he scored well because he played in the mids, but it was a bare bones midfield

He might still play through the mids, but with Swallow, Barlow, Lyons and Hanley all coming in and GAJ running through, I'm not sure he will be getting the 28+ touches he clearly needs to score well enough

He was spending most of his time in the mids during the first half of the season too, and scored like shower

The stats don't lie - at this stage it appears he needs 28+ touches to score well, and I'm not sure he will get that much pill with all of their inclusions

Heeney at the same price seems like the better choice. Titch has left, where as GC has heaps of players returning/coming in

I'll be curious to see how Touk goes this year

Gavdroid

Has Aaron Hall written all over it. Got burned last year, will stay away from this one I think

If you had traded him at peak value after Round 8 it would've been a great pick.

Yeah but who was smart enough at the time to make the call to trade him out?

Best case for touk you get a very minor leg up on the competition. Worse case your burning a trade to get him out abd he sets you back not generating cash or scoring for you.

He is in that horrible price range. Much better picket 50k and go rough if you want an almost premo

I'm currently considering Touk Touk Miller in my side.  Have him at F2 at the moment, but he reminds me of Aaron Hall of last 2016.  Is anyone else feeling the same?  Touk Touk is well priced if he can continue his form from second half of 2016 and has a good JLT, but this was exactly what Aaron Hall did in late 2015 and NAB 2016.

thoughts?
Big fan of Touk.   your comparison with Hall is justified.    Depending how the JLT goes he is a probable for my starting team.   I see him and Roughy fighting for a berth.

I disagree, I go to a few Suns games, Touk has more class than Hall - you can see it on the park and he has a much better pedigree from U18 level

Hall was a beneficiary last year with no Bennell, Prestia, Swallow, JoM and a sooky Ablett - Hall is good player no doubt, and very dangerous if left unchecked with his general skill and pace but really there was no one else to give the ball to...someone had to benefit or pick up the pace and it was Hall

Halls scoring stopped because opposition put some effort into him

Touk = lock for me, he should be very consistent and increase output this year, he has just re signed and with the new facilities the Suns have, confidence and enthusiasm should not be an issue

12th biggest lock of the millennium.
haha only the 12th?  Just a bit nervous about all the midfielders being added to the side that weren't playing much in 2016.

ie Ablett, Barlow, Jarrad Lyons, Swallow, Rischitelli, Hallahan, Hanley, Aaron Hall, Lonergan

Plus throw in all the rookies too Ainsworth, Bowes, Fiorini, etc

And Ryan Davis...

They've only lost Prestia and O'Meara, who hardly played in 2016

A big 50/50 for me at the moment.
He'll play midfield ahead of Hallahan, Hall, Lonergan, Davis, Fiorini + all the new 2017 rookies. Riska will miss half the year with injury. If they're smart, they'll play Hanley off half back. That leaves Ablett (injury prone), Swallow (injury prone), Barlow (may spend a bit of time forward), Lyons (may spend some time forward).

^ ^ This

People also forget about the Sydney midfield and how many they have in the top 10 PPG ave.
Girlong a few years ago in their prime had a  few in top 10 ave. as well
Collingwood had a truckload, Sidey, Beams, Swan, Pendles & Daisy

Hawthorn had none!! It was a team effort, not a 7 -8 team member domination like those team above

Admittedly they were the dominant teams of those years and it is unlikely the Suns are going to be like them this year, but generally I wouldn't go by the "them 2 fellahs over there is going to steal that blokes points" too much

I'll see touk perhaps round 10
Not before.

A lot of hype around Touk.

Will end up being like Jesse Lonergan from last year.

Agree don't see any advantage in starting round 9 bye players when they can be viewed as first upgrade targets.
