Collapse starting why is it our spinners could not take wickets on this pitch ?

Ringo

Look at what Pujara did yesterday - When he padded up he took a big step Crawford and covered the spin and no way could be LBW. Smith whether tiredness or not only took a small half step.

Just remember the rough is outside the left handers off stump and India do not have a lot of left handers.

So going by that on a lifeless pitch like this if are loaded up with left handed batsmen you are doomed to lose

Yep we were always up against it in second innings with our left handers. Commented in a cricket forum before India started their innings that Australia was probably 100 runs shy. Australia has a 1 - 4 record in tests where they have scored 400+ in India so was never confident. Hopefully we can get a draw but will be difficult.

Well the selectors need to take this into account because India will always attack a weakness like that

Gigantor

Smarsh looking ok, scoring runs which helps. Handscombe looks like he could get out every ball :(

Ringo

Ssshhh - Do not want to jinx them.

Bill Manspeaker

you can see Marsh has a plan. usually see batsmen say "watch the ball, watch the ball" as the bowler runs in. Marsh looks like he's saying "straight, straight"

been a fantastic effort so far. still a long way to go though

Ringo

No jinxs please still have 36 overs to negotiate,

Bill Manspeaker

yeah I wasn't gonna post but couldn't help myself. picked a good time too... right before tea  :-[

Agree but they need to keep going for the next 10/15 overs.
