I watched the game and apart from a few touches at the start rarely saw him at all. Then he didn't play the second half.

Would love to know his TOG%, was hoping to see him link up every time Collingwood switched the ball in defence but that didn't happen.

Still keeping an eye on him for the next two JLT games, but 5 touches and 1 mark isn't terribly exciting.

First year playing 20 games and increased his avg by 20points in 2016, could he go again and increase as much as and extra 8-10 points per game?

I was all over him last year as a breakout, but not starting R1 made me take Rich instead. Needless to say I was very frustrated. Id steer well clear on him this year.

We would have a lot of mates crying at the bar over a beer who took Rich in RD1 and then ended up carrying the flog for nearly the whole season.   I don't think there was a week go by I was not trying to move him on but had bigger issues to deal with every time.      NO MIDPRICER BREAKOUT Selections!!!!!!

Don't really need to pick breakout players, there's a million "bounce back" types around. I'll probably have a crack at a guy like Liam Shiels 70 up to 100 and making as much coin as a rookie in the process.

Can Zach Merrett roll with the big boys this year and average 115+?  what are people's thoughts? Averaged 111.5 last year only scoring under 90 twice. Racks em up, good balance of contested/uncontested, he uses it well and he kicks goals so he has all the tools

I reckon he'll drop a bit too, but can still see him posting a very good average that'll be top 8 for midfielders.

basically if you where to ask me what the worst ultra premo you could buy he would be in my top 3. All the big guns are coming back we have no idea how he will play.

If he was a Forward i still wouldn't pick him.
