Breakout/POD Thread

Heeney will not be in my starting fwds.   Just do not see how he can score consistently and hold down one of my fwd keeper spots.   If he gets a gig as full time mid and starts scoring I could consider him...    ATM it is a no.     Mills falls into same category.   I hvae given up trying to pick early break out players.  Too many missed to hits at that game.

Anyone tempted to fork out the cash to start with Nick Riewoldt as a POD?

I'm assuming be won't be on many coach's radars, but the guy just keeps performing.

The Saints should be on the rise this year, and assuming he's still fit and firing I'm wondering if he could be a decent selection in a pretty tough to pick forward line?

Price to much for risk involved - Has had knee issues in the past and missing the occasional game.

The Saints should be on the rise this year, and assuming he's still fit and firing I'm wondering if he could be a decent selection in a pretty tough to pick forward line?

Could be a solid pod, generally starts the season flying if I remember correctly!

I'm tempted by n.vlastuin (def 407,800) tipped to be getting midfield time and was a top mid as a junior hoping he could av 100 and sit as my d4-5

As a junior he struggled to rack up big possession tallies, in fact he only passed 20 touches twice. I'd steer clear.

Any thoughts on Brett Deledio ?  In a new team, one which could easily be on top of the ladder at the end of the home and away. Proven hard ball getter who will appreciate the better delivery he'll get at  GWS. Much less likely to get tagged now and knows how to kick goals. The burning question is of course " can he play 22 games".  If he's fit come Rd 1   ??    Only in 9.2 %  of SC teams at this time.

If your D5 is averaging 100 you're a genius.
He won't average that much but he could easily push for 90+
When he's gone into the midfield previously he's scored really well.
Everyone's getting more midfield time according to the articles this time of year though so I would still wait and see

He's been locked in my team all pre season. 8 years of 100+ averages and still averaged 95 with an injury ravaged season last year.
Lately his body has had some issues but they have started in the pre season then hampered him through the year. No issues that I've heard of this year

Thanks for the reply Quinney. I've had him and Caddy interchanging in my team since team picker opened. It really looks much better with him in. Will see if there are no pre season issues and if they're aren't he'll be locked. Pretty keen on Caddy as well. More mid time and playing along side his mate Prestia. Tempted to pick him M6 instead of Beams or Swallow. Gives heaps of early flexibility and at worst would probably make a reasonable M9 / F7.  At the best could lift his ave high enough to be a top 6 forward. My top 3 ATM are Dahlhaus,  Macrae,   and Lids,   after that I have no idea.  Cheers mate and go the Tigers !!!      ;)  Having said all that had to lose Caddyshack to get Docherty, moved Macrae into the mids as M.6.  Which leaves me with 12 Keepers :-
Docherty,  T Addams,  R Laird,  Dangerfield,  Pendlebury,  T Rockliff,  M Bontempelli,  N Fyfe,  J Macrae,  T Goldstein,  L Dahlhaus and Lids plus P Ryder as a mid price hopeful. Cheers.        ;)

Anyonne else thinking of locking in T.Lynch (GC). I'm actually liking him over Macrae and Deledio at the moment. Dahlhaus already locked in to F1

Does SC still show % picked?  I looked yesterday and it was showing, but today I can't seem to find the % picked.

Is it only for SC Gold now?  Or they just turned it off for everyone?

Just saw your post GB, and checked mine. I'm still getting %'s. I have SC Gold but everybody is supposed to have it on trial for the first month or so. try again and best of luck mate.      :)
