The entire Collingwood backline will be built around Keefe

He is their only genuine KPP down there now

They have Dunn and Schade as well

There's also this guy who was an All-Australian CHB.

Holz

last year we where burnt by the man but im tempted to go super out on a limb.

Brad Crouch:

struggled with form and fitness early on but came back and averaged 96 in the last 10 with a 109 112 113 and 144.

have looked extensively into his injury history and most of his injuries where major breaks and has been fine for over a year despite some soft tissue stuff which can be explained by no preseason.

If he gets through preseason this will be the first time he was fully healthy leading into the preseason and could put up some scary numbers.

This is a man who averaged 87 in his first season. then in his second season go injured early on then averaged 103 in his last 9 games of the season with 5/9 100+ including a 121 122.

Is anyone even going to look at him?

priced at 87 and going 105+ isnt crazy. People are considering Murphy and i reckon he is the better pick up.

Fool me once....

The absolute best case scenario is that you get a 105 player for 100k cheaper. Risk heavily outweighs the reward for mine. I'll save 100k by starting a Beams, Sandi, Roughy etc instead

Arent they much greater risks?

Beams - Knee Issues
Sandi - Old and recently injury prone big body as well so another factor
Roughy - Coming back from cancer.

v a 22 year old who has zero signs of any injury risks in the last year and a half.

Ill probably not punt on any of the above but crouch would be top of the list.

cant argue with the 87 first season 96 second season and 96 back half of this season.

Beams, Sandi, Roughy can be elite in their respective positions though. BTM most likely can't (yet).

that true just one i think people should stick on their radars. If he is absolutely racking it up in the NAB then certainly could be a POD. as a junior can rack up almost premo numbers so this could be the breakout year with the full preseason. If i see some big numbers in the NAB i might be jumping on board over a beams.

anyone know what he is priced at?

just a small thing but no 3rd man ups should help Jacobs quite abit.

Beams? He's like 40k less than Crouch so I'd assume an 83ish avg if Crouch is priced at 87 as you said. I think meow mentioned it somewhere though.

And yeah, reckon Jacobs is a chance to get back to 105+, but I don't think I could bring myself to ruling out one of Goldy/Gawn :P

Crouch 471400
Beams 432500

thanks certainly worth the 40k over beams and murphy in my view.

just not sure he is worth the 100k less over say a Sloane.

RaisyDaisy

I probably won't start him, but Gaff at 490k is tempting me

Don't think Mitchell coming in would have a massive impact because he rarely gets tagged anyway so teams will still put attention into Gaff, but at 490k he is capable of going 105+

Money Shot

Although I probably won't start him Prestia is tempting. At a new club has averaged enough to be a keeper in the past and with Delidio going he will slot straight into the middle with Dusty spending more time up forward. Think he will average around 105-108 but spending an extra 70k and getting a Fyfe, Bont or Sloane is a lot easier and safer.

Have been thinking likewise. Both Prestia and Caddy have tempted me but at this stage have taken Caddy ( as a keeper. ) THis hopefully may be sorted out by the NAB. Cheers and all the best mate       ;)

Has been mentioned on this thread before, but I think T Mitchell will have a great season coming. And I'm exceptionally interested in who at the Swans inherits his midfield time, very especially if it were C Mills or Heeney.          ???

RaisyDaisy

Are we underestimating how much of a difference Lewis and Mitchell gone is going to make?

Titch could easily go 115+ imo. Who else is there? He's clearly their main man in the mids now. Hodge, Burgoyne etc will go through but Titch is permanent

Super tempted

Not alone there RD - Titchell really tempting at the price for what he can improve.

I seem to be the only one who isn't super keen on Titch at the moment. Sure he will get high tackle and contested ball numbers but he loves to handball out of packs and I feel hawks are very light on for both inside and outside mid strength.. at Sydney he had JPK Hanners Parker to help out with some of his sloppy errors and he won't get that at Hawthorn. He'lol be forced to kick the ball more with that horrid foot of his (yuck). Think you'll see a lot of low percentage possession from Titch this year simply because he isn't a ball carrier, does not dispose well and isn't very big at all, meaning he isn't the one to bust open packs. Isn't a goal kicking option either because he'll be forced to play 90% mids and isn't great overhead. Think you'll see a lot of massive sc dr ratio fluctuations much like Lewis over the last few years. Hawks have never had great sc scoring players during their reign apart from SMitch and him and Titch are completely different players. I feel 103-108 is what you'll get. Which doesn't warrant a starting spot over some others.
