2017 FF SUPERCOACH ELXAM LEAGUE

2017 marks the 7th year of the elxam comp!
It was over 6 years ago, on Father's Day 2010, when fanfooty user elxam (the username is his name Max Le in reverse) tragically passed away....he was a father himself. He was fantastic person and contributor to the site and is still missed. This competition is named in his honour and has seen many of FF's finest coaches vying for the various honours up for grabs over a number of years.

If you want to be involved in this comp, you must have coach status on FF by having posted a 1000 times or more in counted sections (Dream Team, SuperCoach, AFL boards). That's basically anyone who can see the coaches section of the forum, plus those coaches who have deactivated their accounts, but once were coaches. Participants are asked to visit the "2017 SC elxam expressions of interest" thread in the Elxam/ Coaches part of Fan Footy :)... Coaches are asked to identify their team name when they join by way of making a post.....Then you will be added to list and asked to join the elxam group once SC opens.

How's it work?

Each coach enters into the Elxam Group. The top 16 ranked coaches based on overall points with the last 4 rounds of the year to go will play off in elimination finals to determine who is the Elxam Winner for the year.

Additionally there is also a Knock-Out Cup Competition, a State-of-Origin competition, the m0nty medal and a Champions League.

What is the Champions League?

The Elxam Champions League is filled with the most successful coaches from last year, and they play for the Champions Trophy.

How do I make the Champions League?

To qualify for the 2018 champions League, you need to do one of these things:
- Finish in the top 8 of the 2017 Champions League
- Finish 9th in the 2017 Champions League (post finals)
- Make the Final 4 in the Overall Competition (Elxam group)
- Be the Knock-Out Cup Champion (Elxam group)
- Remaining spots filled based on where you finished on the points ladder in the group at the end of the year (Elxam group)

Fantasy Championship
Many coaches play AFL Fantasy, Dream Team and SuperCoach. This competition basically adds up your scores for the years to see who in the elxam league has scored the most points.

Yeah, the Elxam Group code is in the thread, p5 from memory...
League code is only for those coaches who qualified for Elxam Champions in 2016.
