Once upon a time in Elxam there were additional leagues....

LEAGUE PREMIERS
2016: N/A
2015: N/A
2014: dmac07 (Fanatics), Nige (Unicorns), Rusty00 (Stars), shaker (Challengers)
2013: Luigi197 (Pirates), MC (Fanatics), yorgis (Guns)
2012: enzedder (Lions), fever (Challengers), whatlez (Team C4)
2011: CFC 1979 (Victoria), MTTY (All Stars)

Over the last three years we have had just the one...Champions League and ran the group competition for all.
Next year I am proposing to run two leagues. Elxam Champions which is where everyone would like to be and "Elxam Challengers" Three leagues would be better but with only 59 coaches in the Elxam Group this year, that'd be a stretch I think....we can play that by ear and see if there is enough demand.

So what I am thinking is after all spots have been filled for Elxam Champions, the Elxam Challengers league can be filled by the next highest qualifiers in the overall standings from this season...if coaches aren't able to commit or simply don't want to then their place will be forfeited to the next highest qualifier...think there should be sufficient interest for at least one additional league.
As in previous seasons when multiple leagues were in play...the premier will earn a place in the following Elxam Champions league.

If you're up for 2018's comp...I've created a new expressions of interest thread... thought I'd get it going now as it doesn't hurt to do it early whilst everyone is still keen and having a crack and before the masses depart FF land for months on end.
I know I'm up for it already. :)

The premier of the SC Elxam Champs League is recorded on the honour board as the Champions Trophy winner. The Minor premier title is battled out by those who fail to make the 8 in the Elxam Champs League and the Points Premier title winner will be the coach who scores more points overall in the Elxam group. Elxam Challengers League 2018
To be determined by Total Points placings after the Champions League spots have been filled.
If coaches aren't able to commit or simply don't want to then their place will be forfeited to the next highest qualifier on Total Points. The premier of this league will automatically qualify for the Champions League as has been the case in the past when additional leagues have been run in Elxam. Should their be sufficient interest then a third league could operate but we'll have to see how things shape up.

Going down to the wire in the match between GM and myself, Kruezer losing 40 odd points has made it a contest

No more POD's left to come for me so its 454 vs Dahl, Sloane, Grundy, Beams

I flowering hope the pies tag the shower out of Sloane haha

Also if Adams is out I'm cooked, GM has the E on Ryan, I have Witherden....
