Miller??? Everyone seems to think he will do good but I'm just not sure I think you get ryder and upgrade somewhere else.

I was thinking S.Petrevski-Seton to Beams???

Hartlett to maybe a Hibberd of try and get the money to go 500k+

And Maybe Caddy to Macrae

There just a few suggestion to your team.

Good PODs in Miller and Prestia. I presume you think they'll be keepers?

Cheers! Yep, I'm pretty confident in their ability to be keepers. Touk's gonna play mainly midfield I'm pretty sure and he's shown plenty to suggest he'll continue to score well. I love Dion heaps as well, also very happy he's a Tiger now. He'll be a huge part of our midfield this year and I think he's gonna be able to thrive with a fresh start.

I'd prefer Hartlett over Hibberd in defence as there is a better chance of him going 95+
Logue is someone who I haven't seen in many sides maybe Scharenberg and Hampton are better options?

Love the Prestia pick he is someone I am really considering that could really go 110+
Only 4 premiums is very light as you have already stated

Rucks are perfect

Would really try and get Macrae in your forwards lines at F2 but in saying that like your F2-F4 picks as they could all be top 10

Hartlett's a super frustrating player to have in one's side and I'm not willing to ride that rollercoaster. I see Hibberd as a more consistent type who should average just as much, if not more. Logue's ready made and could line up as early as Round 1, will probably be like Weitering, except a better scorer imo. Also may (though unlikely) even play midfield which can only help. I'm not interested in Scharenberg at all given his injury history and Hampton's also of zero interest.

Also not that interested in Macrae. I think he's more of DT guy than a SC type and I much rather the guys I currently have who I'm fairly confident will have a similar output.

Touk's a gun mate, watch any Gold Coast game from last year and he was very good. Still young and has shown bucket loads of promise. No interest in Ryder, I don't think he's a worthwhile selection, not for my side anyway.

SPS should slot straight into the Blues side for Round 1 imo, he's more than good enough and he'll easily be one of top rookie picks this season. I like Beams though, and I am monitoring him, he's still in consideration and is a good chance to find his way in, but it won't be at the expense of SPS.

Not sure what you're talking about in relation to Hartlett, I don't have him, but I do have Hibberd. I prefer Hibberd over Hartlett for the reasons stated above.

I think Caddy's gonna get a good chunk of midfield time for us so but he has the ability to get/play forward which will help so I see him pretty comfortably averaging at least 90 honestly and I think he'll be more consistent than Macrae from a Supercoach perspective.

If we all had the same team it would be boring  :D

As I said Nige nice team to sit on,.

Latest edition looks like this.

Not really a fan of making changes through the preseason comp because there's a part of me that always thinks these games mean nothing, but at the same time, they are the chance we get at seeing potential options perform.

Got some pretty drastic changes from the last version, trying to toy with different structures as well as making an effort to actively pick the best options for me in terms of premos/rookies. Told myself that I wouldn't touch midpricers, those with an awkward price tag or guys with an injury history but I've strayed from because there might be some serious value. Also doing this is a way to make sure I've got the cash in case cheap rookies pop up.

Only $14,700 left with that team, but it seems worth it at this point in time.

If going with Sandi think you need some cover in forward line - Ryder, Nankervis or Lycett as suggestions. Just think it is a risk even though Sandi has little travel in the first 10 weeks.

Team is chalk with the better coaches on here although I like the ward pick.

I also going sandi with no cover st the moment. What's your plan if it all goes ends up out of interest?

Banking on Sandi being fit and playing, but Nank is probably the only one of interest. Not super willing to change my forward line that much really.

Don't really have one at this stage. Likely will find the cash to make a trade I guess. Been one to start Shane Mumford in the past so it won't be a foreign experience.

HOw does cover in the fwd line help?

if sandii goes down you trade to another ruck... why change fwd structure because you want sandi?

If Sandi goes down just for one week you move your RF to ruck and have one of your fwd emergencies on field. Saves a donut and trade.  Only do if missing not more than 2 weeks. Also with Sandi at the price he is hard to get another ruck near that price early.

If you are hoping for Cameron to play and make money for you at R3, then at which position will you have a non playing playing for the captain loophole??

If Cameron looks like getting games I am considering Cameron for F8 rather than Ryder and co as back up for Sandi. Would need to ensure Cameron will play though.

So basically this is the team I've ended up with post JLT. Didn't necessarily throw it together based of the performances alone, but more or less used the pre-season to justify certain selections.

Obviously, the issue now is whether all the rookies we want are gonna pop up, but the structure is there and that's mainly what I've been keen to lock in, plus I've got $85,400 to work with.

Happy to shed thoughts on certain selections and welcome any feedback people may have.
