After being dominated in the ruck all year last year, the power again have a legitimate ruckman playing for them with Ryder back...
Feeling that this could help increase the likes of Wines, Gray, Ebert and Boak's output by 3-5 points with a little more free ball coming from the tap work of Ryder which could also increase disposal efficiency... I may be clutching at straws a little but i feel the significant difference between the quality of ryder and trengove ruck work will work in favour of an increase in output...?

I agree, i feel Robbie Gray will be a huge beneficiary of ryder returning

If the mids are any decent they just shark the other ruckmans taps. Which they would of been trying to do anyway considering trengroive wasnt goinfg to win a hitout.

i agree, but their possession are more likely to be innefective because the chances are that spot will be guarded/Protected by opposition because they know where its going... It's the main part of what im getting at

RaisyDaisy

Too much value and better options elsewhere to consider Port mids IMO

The_Captain

Maybe if Wines had fwd/mid DPP i would  consider  :P

TomK

Gray would be the only one I would consider but that's it.

LordSneeze

You don't need a good ruck to score well in the mids, sharking opposition taps are worth more points anyway.
Just look at North, best tap ruckman, yet not super premium mid.

elephants

Yeah Gray the only one I'd touch, but even he throws up the odd stinker that hurts

fasttrack13

General consensus is won't increase output, alright cheers

This. The 2 best rucks last year were Goldy and Gawn and neither of those teams mids were worth having.
Sydney and Geelong mids were putting up huge numbers with non dominant rucks.

PowerBug

There's a difference between a non dominant ruck and a non existant ruck though

Wines high on my radar.
Didn't work out for me last year. Tossed up between him and Parker. Cost me a bit in rankings that one.
