Rookies are just added to make up numbers and will of- course change

Simpson, H Shaw, Laird, Murphy,  Keeffe,  Berry   (Hibberd, Larkley)

Dangerfield, Pendles, Fyfe, Sloane, Beams, M Murphy, Ainsworth, Myers (Freeman, Pickett, Leonardis)

Goldy, Sandi   (Hunter)

Dahlhaus, Buddy, Roughy, Boyd, Mcclugage, Black    (Rioli, Eddy)

Nice Team and Structure

Just Personal would have only one of Buddy or Roughy.  Traditionally hard for KPP to score well and having both creates the extra risk. Plenty of options though around the price,

Simpson overpriced for me - Upgrade target
I think although boyd is a gun he isnt a genuine supercoach scorer plus already having roughy, sandi, beams, murphy and murphy it adds a little too much risk to the team!

A lot of similarities with mine so naturally i think its actually a quality team!

The only pick I'm not really sold on is Boyd. If I was going to pick a speculative mid price option I would hope they either run through the midfield a fair bit or they win a lot of the pill. I don't think Boyd will fit either of those categories. Sloane could be a nice POD, he tends to be pretty consistent which people overlook as well.

Thanks for the feedback all......

What are everyones thoughts on Jed Anderson for F5? At 238k im looking for a cheap replacement for Boyd?

is he is North's best 22 with all of the recent retirements??? Will he play in the guts if he is in?

The way north's list management has been they have no choice but to play him... Don't see him as best 22, but he will play a lot of games

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)

Nice team.  I had Boyd in my first team as well. Heard somewhere that he has has pre season surgery so I dropped off him.  Perhaps you could consider Roughy and Boyd to a prem and rookie.  Best of luck.        ;)

Nice team,   Personally I can see benefit in Boyd.  Another preseason under the  belt, coming off a great series in the Finals that shows he is a potential 100 point player.    A cheaper ruck backup option than Ryder that could end up F7 at years end.   Also able to loophole him with Dogs playing Fridays more this year.  so if he pumps out a 100+ game take his score.

At the moment I have Ryder but certainly considering swapping him for Boyd, enable me to get Roughy.

I believe top forwards this year will be Dahlhouse, Macrea, Tom Lynch (GC), Buddy, and potentially Roughy.  NRoo will look good at some stage as well.

Tom Boyd stats and scores post injury - not sure how this justifies selection... No tones, low scores in the 40's, no consistency at all, rather Nankervis

Average 85%TOG as well

Nankervis: 72%TOG

Fairpoint FT,   not much difference cf Boyd and Nank.  both could be options for f7 and save money rather than take Ryder.    ATM have ryder as my R/F option to support Sandilands choice.    Of course can just not start a r/f and trade as and when required is viable choice as well.

Money Shot

Only ruck/forward worth starting is Ryder. He has averaged 100 in the past and will most likely be the main ruck at Port with Lobbe out of favour and Trengrove benig a better defender. I expect 90-95

Nankervis has upside as he can only get better how ever I think an 80-85 is all you can expect from him which would be serviceable score.

Boyd will improve but not enough 70-75 is all I expect.

At this stage I'm really hoping Hampson pulls a calf which puts him out for 3 weeks.

BIG CALL: Nankervis will average 95+ given he gets no.1 ruck post... If he's the only ruckman in richmonds side I'm taking the gamble.

TBH I reckon Boyd will go mid 60s at best (Ryder still the best of the 3)

This.

Ryder has a better history than all the ruck forwards & all the mid pricers excluding Roughie. Last five years have produced 90, 105, 90, 101 & 85. In his first year at Port he had one injury affected game & finished the season averaging 92 (final 8 games). For all the positives he brings ie. ruck cover for the year, a forward loophole, likely sole ruckman, Ryder is an absolute no brainer.
