Plenty of upside in Witts

Witts and one of Ryder/Nank will turn into Gawn eventually for me and the other stays as F6 and ruck cover

Delicious

Ringo

With Cox being dropped does Grundy become relevant a lot more.

Well done Mat for the ruck info it will be interesting to see the same info after a few rounds

Early days though Sandiwitts looks like being a successful strategy this year.   So much that I still consider it as a corrective option next week.

2nd most hit outs sharked by percentage with the worst hit out to advantage percentage. I don't know if he is going to have 9 tackles every week to supplement his score.

Ryder on the other hand has normally been a really good HTA ruck and can snag a couple of goals. The fact he played against a really good Swans midfield and only had 3.6% sharked is super impressive.

I'm taking Grundy's numbers with a grain of salt considering they were against Boyd. He is looking like a great pick as well if he can maintain those numbers fairly low. It also helps he has the midfield the CD ranks the deepest in the comp.

This stat is a bit misleading 'Surprisingly, Preuss’ win rate of 70% was the third-highest.' I'm banking on that being the competition in the ruck, if he maintains that over this weekend then he would be one that has to come under consideration as a R3.

Nank and Kreuz are the two I have no idea what's going on considering they played each other. Kreuz has had a good HTA record when he would get his hand to it, however he has never been a hitout dominant ruckman.

That was my point. Can only be upside with stats that horrible. Can't get any worse!

Well, if those hitout stats don't get much better and his tackle numbers go down, then yeah it can :P

Yeah not sold on Witts yet, jury is still out on him.

I reckon the way to go was Nankervis and Sandilands at R1 and R2 with Ryder in the forward line.  8)

Witts will outscore all the other rookie forwards by 10-15 points over the next 7 weeks.

Based on?

If you had a forward line along the lines of Dahl, Macrae, Ryder Steele, Hoskin-Elliott, Butler, Houston and Hannan with rucks of Nank, Sandi ane Preuss your cash generation and scoring potential is higher then Witts at R2.

It looks like 90% of teams have butchered the rookie situation so far and picked the wrong ones. It's only round 1 so it can flip pretty quickly. Young guys will have their inconsistencies, hopefully a few of them flip the switch this week.

Rucks have a higher floor and higher ceiling. Butler & Hannan will throw up 40's & 50's from time to time. WHE looked good and could rival Witts but will have to play pretty well from here.

Deadly6

WHE needs to improve his defensive side or Bucks will drop him.

I can't believe people still debating over the witts selection. I have gawn but I think going witts sandi is still the better play. In saying that witts will cop a hiding this week imo.

LF

Pretty damn happy with Grundy
