This would be game over if it wasn't Perth batting.
Successful defences of less than 150
Strikers: 0 Heat: 1 Hurricanes: 1 Renegades: 1 Stars: 2 Scorchers: 6 Sixers: 2 Thunder: 0

See it really is only the Scorchers that can win from here

over the batsman's head, one bounce into the fence. that's quick

Geez it's getting late for a cricket match :P but I guess the stars have to pander to their target markets (WA and England, sorry Tas)

Umps costing us a bit tho :/

Stoinis hit right in the groinis but still enough juice to seal the victory

I don't know why you have such a thing against the Stars having two English players in the side, each team gets two internationals, the Stars retain the same pair every season.

Agree that every team should make the Scorchers bowl first

flowering love AJ Tye. Get him in the Aus T20 set-up
They did, and he did shower :P Economy rate of 10.5 and only 2 wickets from his 11.2 T20I overs ;)

Get AJ Tye in the test team at #6 :P cracking innings from him

Well it's more of a taking 75% of your players from outside of your state and having next to no homegrown talent, it's against the spirit of domestic cricket

They have as many Vics as West Aussies (3), plus 2 from England and Tassy. Gades are the real Melbourne team

I just like watching the Stars fail tbh. Same as watching Pies/Dons/Tiges suck in the AFL. Must be a big Melb team thing

Since when did your Big Bash team have anything to do with which state you're from? If you can play for anyone then why not come and play in the most liveable city in the world  ;)

Two teams from Melbourne but only one Melbourne team, get to see the best of home and the rest in the same state.

They don't, but they should. Help grow the game in the state so the vics can actually have some test players?

Oh and using homegrown players = 5 championships, not using them = 0

Strikers have won the toss and elected to bowl first

Strikers XI: Weatherald, Dunk, Ludeman, Hodge (c), Pollard, Dean, Neser, Laughlin, Sodhi, O'Connor, Agar
The Strikers have made one change from the side that lost to the Stars at the MCG in a last over thriller. They have added an extra spinner with Kelvin Smith making way for leg spinner Liam O'Connor.

Renegades XI: Finch (c), Harris, White, Cooper, Ferguson, Perera, Narine, Nevill, Pattinson, Rimmington, Hogg
They have included experienced seam bowler Nathan Rimmington at the expense of the left-arm spin of Xavier Doherty.

Did anyone else spot the cheeky arm around the back from the CH10 guy around Roz, very next ball comes to the same spot and the arm was well down! I wouldn't want to make Morne Morkel angry either.

Jesus Pattinson blows

How long until he's dropped?
