Hey all,

Pretty much copying last year's post...

This will be open from when the Rookie Draft officially finishes, all the way to the end of January 2017.

This trade period is much stricter than the others... actually, you know what? Everybody hates it, and people can get around it anyway. Stuff the positional reasoning, even without that rule this trade period is still unique from other comps in that it will still have the following rules:

Rules
- Trades can only be done if it relates to some sort of issue from the positional changes (player loses DPP, didn't get DPP as expected, you now have too many players in position, etc). But it has to be the PRIMARY reason. Only 1 team needs to have an issue though.

- Only 4 player movements allowed, and they can only be 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 or 4 for 4.

- You can't go over the salary cap of $11,400,000, and you can't go under $9,100,000. If you are already under $9,100,000 - you can't make a trade that makes you get even lower.

- No trading of future draft picks.

- I decide all these trades for this period. If 6 coaches object to my decision, they can PM me, and the trade will need to be renegotiated. Seeing as in the past, not many trades are done in this period, you can expect a decision on a trade after 24 hours of it being put up.

I am going to stand my ground at 4 player movements, because you were supposed to get your team how you like it in the other major trade period. This trade period should be a "Fine Tuning" trade period.

Have 4 more votes to go from these teams (please feel free to vote; I'm still interested!):

Dublin Destroyers
Mexico City Suns
Seoul Magpies
Toronto Wolves

But with 13-1 votes in favour of scrapping the positional reasoning, we'll go ahead and erase it from existence. It should be noted that some (including me) were only in favour of scrapping it if we kept it limited to 4 movements, which we will definitely be doing.

Alright lads

The final draft is nearing it's end and this trade period is open slather, so hit me up!

We're keen to trade any of our starting mids (except Jelwood and Tyson) if it will land us a prem forward, or 90+ def

Jarrad Waite is a premium forward.

No real surprise that NY are involved in the first trade :P

New York trade: Mitch Duncan + Liam Picken
Toronto trade: Mitch Wallis + Richard Douglas

Not having Wallis for most of the season will put us a little behind, but when he returns his forward DPP will be very handy, and we'd hope he'll maintain it in 2018 too. Even if he loses it beyond then he's still an equal mid replacement for Duncan. We get the DPP, but it's balanced out by his injury

Picken for Douglas pretty standard

Ada to confirm

Confirmed.

Got too many forwards so thought I'd cash in a couple with DPP to get a slight increase in ppg in the midfield.

New York trade: Mitch Duncan + Liam Picken
Toronto trade: Mitch Wallis + Richard Douglas

Liam Picken and Richard Douglas seem an appropriate comparison, given age, positional difference and averages. Likewise with Mitch Duncan & Mitch Wallis, although Wallis may be a more attractive option given his forward status, he is obviously out for the year. Seems a fair trade in my eyes.

I'll pass this trade without any fuss. If you have any major objections to this ruling, please PM me.
