You can twist stats to do anything. He's not a gun so don't know too much about him, but would hazard a guess that his talent has grown coincedentally when not required to keep (so more recent matches), if that makes sense. He has keeping ability, it's not hard to keep so why not have him do that, drop the spud Wade, and get a guy who can bat at an average of 35 and bowl at an average of 30 - Mitch Marsh perhaps? :P

If Mitch Marsh batted at 35 and bowled at 30 I think Australia would be pretty happy. Trouble is he doesn't even bat at 30 in First Class cricket and only 22 in Tests, then bowls at 37 (which to be honest is fine for a 5th bowler) :P


Waugh (the good one) says Fawad should go to India. Surely Australia wouldn't tour Renshaw (England), Khawaja (Pakistan), Cartwright (Zimbabwe), Steve O'Keefe (Malaysia) and Ahmed (Pakistan) at the same time? ;)

Yeah Marsh is a failure (for now) at the longer formats, but still a spot for a batsman (not Maddinson) or AR (not Marsh) to have a go, maybe Turner or SMarsh or Head or Faulkner or Patterson or somebody, all an upgrade on Wade

Aus could play 5 overseas born guys in a team and still nobody would talk about it out of shame and hypocrisy ;)

Hopefully tomorrow isn't another batsman's paradise but we'll see eh, getting sick of them - got a bit spoiled by that Hobart test and the 85 tho :P
