dont read to much into the rookies, they're just there for pricing purposes
better to go high now and come down later and have money spare for upgrades, right??

DEF: Pretty standard. Hurley
MID: Standard front 3 i reckon for most teams. Jobe/Beams/Murphy priced @ 80-85, we know they can jump to 95-105.
RUC: Sandi risky @ his age, but too cheap to pass.
FWD: Basic.

thoughts:
Rance to JJ, $123K Rookies to $117K Rookies/ Jobe to heppell (as i think he'll be the Bombers best scorer)

Ringo

Nice structure here - 3 injury prone mids in Murphy, Beams and Swallow and with Watson who knows his headspace this year, I would turn one of Beams, Murphy or Swallow into a rookie and upgrade Watson to a super premo Plenty to chose from JPK, Hanners, Treloar etc. to give you 4 super premos and definite keepers and extra scoring capacity. Your team though and go with gut

Made some minor changes thanks to Ringo.
dunno where Jobe head is, but my gut tells me that Hepps will kill it this year, he'll get 105+
The guys in Red i expect to go 90+ and potential keepers

Team looks pretty good man. You'll probably have to end up downgrading someone to a rookie though, as the rookies you currently have (for the most part) probably won't be getting too many games, so will have to fork out for a few of the more expensive guys ;)

Ringo

Agree with GL here.  Just sit until we know which rookies look like playing and then adjust as required - As GL says may have to drop one of the keepers down.

happy with this squad, nice balance on all lines.

Nice team 27, do you really need two ruck back ups in your forward line. Providing Nankervis rucks no.1 for Richmond I'd be inclined to change J Thomas for J Gallucci and then Ryder for I Heeney who is widely tipped to get some of T Mitchells mid time. Hopefully the pre season comp will shed some light on this. Cheers mate.      ;)

I agree. Would only keep one of Ryder and Nankervis. Personally think Ryder is the better option.

Just remember that you want guys that are going to be in the top 10 of there posistion ideally. Do you think Murphy and Hibberd will be?

Nice team, did you deliberately try to spend every $? As in did that objective shape your choices?
I'm not sold on Hibberd (Melbourne variety), pending the arrival of the new prospectus I've only got old stats to quote, but he has a career average of 84 SC (again donn't have current stats in front of me).  This has him well outside of the top 8 defenders.  So, do you think he can lift his game by 15 SC per game to make him a premo/keeper? Otherwise you're just buying him to make money, in which case you'd be better off buying a rookie (who gets a regular game).

Agree with previous comments re: having 2 x DPP ruck/fwd in your forward line.  Seems excessive. I am an ardent believer in starting with 2 x premium rucks on field and also having  1 x DPP ruck/fwd.  Last thing anyone needs is burn trades on ruck line. I'm inclined to go with Ryder, but I am intruiged by Nankervis.  Have to wait & see.  I don't believe Nankervis will be Richmond's #1 ruck, Hampson will be, so Nankervis will more likely be a resting fwd/ relieving ruck, IMO. As for Ryder, I believe he will play as #1 ruck @ Port, Lobbe is finished.

All the best mate!

No 27 don't like Murghy or Hibberd for top 10 honours. Sane goes for Ryder and Nankervis. But the positive for you is that it's been a bloody long time since I've been right about anything. Cheers mate.        ;)

Team A (6 Premo Mid + Sandi)

Team B (5 Premo Mid + Premo Ruck)

Team B (5 Premo Mid + Premo Ruck)

Grundy + Swallow v Mitchell + Sandi

I would usually like the premium ruck choice but don't really classify Grundy as a premium. Think Sandi is a good choice and that's why i would be leaning towards that option.

Team A is better then Team B but these are a couple of suggestion that could be made to make Team A better.

Def: Tom McDonald I'm not sure can be there. For his price I don't think his worth it and his scores are up and down and I don't think he can be trusted. Some better options around that price are Josh Gibson which I think might get more mid time with Sam and Lewis not there anymore.

Mid: Your best part of your team. Only thing I would do is watch Myers and Watson in the JLT Cup and there coming off missing 12 months and may never be the same but other then that you mid is great.

Ruck: Grundy I would get rid of for 520k his not producing that much. If I were you I would go down to Sandi or maybe get someone like Mumford who is a monster in the ruck. He his 16k more and will get better scores then grundy.

Fwd: In my life time  of playing supercoach I never have a key postion player UNLESS his cheap. Lynch is 500k. Thats a lot for him even tho he kicked alot of goals last year I don't know if he can back it up and who will slip of late in the year. Get a player like macrae his 4k more and will score more points as he does play mid time sometimes.

Other note your rooks will change depending on how good players do in the JLT Cup. Good luck and have the best 2017 season.

Sorry about Grundy I was looking at wrong team. LOL. But TMac I can't see passing Gibbo maybe 2 years ago but last year he had a poor year and with hawks loosing some veteran mid gibbo will be playing more time there and last year when he did play mid he was a god, he won hawks like 5 games doing that. Lynch started off beast but then his last 5 games look at the scores.

92
102
92
77
86

These are good scores but Macrae will put up better and more consistent scores this year and I'm sure of it.
