I went to todays game and barrack for another team so have no interest other than SC.

Watched Roughy the ENTIRE game.

Next week will be Roughy to WHE 110% locked.

He looked ok in the 1st quarter. Lethargic and blowing hard in the 2nd. In the 3rd he took a couple of marks and kicked 2.2 by games end.

Bottom line is that for him to be back is a massive effort coming from what he went through. Secondly, the Hawks are DEFINITELY not what they used to be. Maybe will be top 6, but are not clinical. They have 4 players that would not have got a game 2 years ago.

It;s my 2 cents worth but thats my take on today.

Watching on TV I've thought he's looked really tired in the second half both weeks. TBH I never expected him back playing footy but got sucked in by pre season and that he was playing midfield. Really, I was never massively keen on him but somehow fit him in with lack of good rookies and hype. He's doing well just to be playing. If you don't get contested marks and goals he could score really badly.

Roughy seems to be scoring pretty well from not doing all that much...imagine what will happen when he kicks 5 in a hawthorn win

This will happen maybe once or twice if at all. Not worth hanging on for.

73 and 82 from his first 2 games back at AFL level, from a 367k fwd, and people are looking at jumping off?? What exactly were you expecting from him? If Roughy is the biggest issue in your team right now, well done you...

Pretty easy really - I was expecting 90+

Not looking to pick 367k forwards as stepping stones - need to turn into keepers

73 and 82 isn't that bad, but if you keep putting up with those scores that's how you fall behind

I'll probably give him one more week as they have GC coming up

Yeah not the biggest issue for me but he is not going to make much cash at the rate he is going and never had thoughts he was a keeper either just a stepping stone until some FWD's show there hands , will all come down to teams next week but not to fussed about him ATM

I don't have Rough, but think you guys need to stick with him.

He wasn't going to smash out back to back 120 scores after not playing for so long, at least give him another few weeks (can't see his price dropping too much).

Ringo

No reason to trade has achieved his B/e each week so while he is doing that and I have more pressing issues to address he can stay with the slow increase in price till ready if need be to upgrade,

Yeah, and he has a game against arguably the worst team in the comp next week.

Need to get WHE so was thinking of trading Roughy (Steele, JOM and Swallow) are only other options to get him.

I picked him to turn into a keeper too, but I think you were kidding yourself if you expected 90+ from day 1. He's putting more points on the board than all the rooks except WHE (is he even really a rook?), and like I said if he's your biggest problem then go for it. But as long as I have Pickett, Hibberd and Otten in my team, Roughy has job security  :P

Like I said, he gets another week and tbh he is not that much of a concern - I'm just mindful of "putting up" with average scores

And I wouldn't consider Otten a problem after his 108 yesterday ;)

It's whether he keeps his job that worries me. JJ's injury may not be as bad as thought, 108 SC or not Otten could be dropped next week...

he played well did enough in my eyes to keep a spot in the 22 for another week

It comes down to WHE vs Roughie for me, as I don't have a spare 100k lying around in order to upgrade Eddy. Here's why I'm erring on the side of a trade this week.

* Roughie isn't a top 6 forward, I think it's pretty clear that there will be about a 10 point difference between the top 10 forwards  and Roughie's eventual average.

* Hawthorn may even miss the finals this year, they are a shell of the side that dominated a couple of years ago.

* Coming back from chemo has to alter the body chemistry to some degree, it is debatable whether Roughie will ever come back to full fitness.

* WHE will be 300k in two weeks with a pair of 70's

* The 160k will be very handy as guys like Hanners look like tumbling in price.

Otten is the guy you shoud be getting into your side. Two price rises makes you a quick 100k, by that stage it doesn't matter if Jenkins is back or not. And there's very little chance he gets dropped next week.
