The only issue I have with Cousins is how many players I'll have out round 13 already!

Otherwise he's looking like an excellent option if you need a midfield rookie

Still undecided on if I should do Pickett to Bolton

Is it really worth the use of a precious trade? After the byes I would never need either on field so it simply comes down to cash generation vs the worth of a trade

If Bolton gets dropped in the next week or two and stalls at 200k or less it's a wasted trade. Actually starting to think I should just pass because I'm not sure Bolton can hit 220k+ and hold his spot

In my opinion, that trade would be worth it if:

a) the 47k generated is needed to fund another trade this week
b) you have under 18 players on field and need to bring in another score on field
c) you have a very poor score in your best 18 prior to North v Tigers (eg. Parsons scores 19) and want to try and avoid that score

You have to look ahead to Round 12 & Round 13 also. Would you be willing to sideways Pickett to Bolton after a price rise in Round 13 if you suddenly find yourself short on players? There doesn't seem to be to many 'bye friendly' rookies coming through.

As for Freeman, he has played 6-7 games straight in the VFL now so it looks like his body is holding up

Don't think it's risky.  Maybe from a JS perspective slightly risky, but I'd be game to do it.  Schaz has barely been healthy and has plenty of risk himself with the extra $50k pricetag.

Shaz will score quite well imo whereas Ryan is unknown. How'd he go in preseason anyone know?

Trade Fisher > Scharenberg
or
Pickett > Ryan

Scharenberg would have the better JS and probably scoring potential, but Fisher is getting a gig each week. On the other hand I'm trading out Pickett who definitely isn't playing.

He missed JLT after hurting his shin in a trial match.  Not a big possession getter but likes to rebound and is a mature ager.  Won't go as a big as Schaz but don't think his floor is any lower than Schaz.

Going Ryan. Finalising my team next week with Roberton and Rockliff and if I get Schaz instead, I need Stewart and Myers to combine 110 between them to make up the extra cash I need. Not game enough to bank on that. Coincidentally they are averaging 58 and 52 but still would take bigger balls to gamble on that than Ryan.
