Do everyone's double downgrade plans for next week go out the window if Hibberd tons up again? Will be a must have at 400k

i'd nearly straight swap with otten

Yeah I don't understand the double downgrade next week talk.

Looking at the players available next week
IMO Black is the best option with Parsons second if he comes straight back in, but I wouldn't want to take both. None of the others really appeal much to me.

Black - What do you do if he comes out with a 40 next week.
Parsons - Could be back and wouldn't be a bad pickup, might be brought back through the 2's though.
A. Johnson - Know little about, but 70 is likely to be slightly over his longer term potential. Port have the early bye which makes him less appealing if downgrading an onfield player to him
Melican - Difficult to know especially seeing as how many rookie the Swans have been blooding, might be 3-4 games then rested.
NcNiece - Can't see him holding a long term position, had a reasonable game, but really expect a 45-50 average
EVW - 51 in game 1 will need to see more to make a decision
JKH - 48 in game 1, is aat a slightly higher price so unless he tons up in week 2 I would be avoiding.
Polson - Didn't show enough for me

I see Fisher, Hardwick and Balic all better options than the above bar Black.

So how do you plan on generating cash by not doing a double down next week? There isn't going to be a week where this much rookies are on the bubble, and I'm sure you are like the rest of us with plenty of hacks on the bench not making money that we need to get rid off

Double downing next week if 3+ get named for their 3rd game is a no brainer

As for Hibberd, who cares if he scores another ton? He has years of history showing us he can score the odd ton and go 80+ most weeks. Def not a must whatsoever if he tons this week

If Hibberd scores 90 + this week though RD he could be the cheapest D6 we will get all year.

Melbournes game plan really suits Hibberd too I reckon.

The backline is the last line I would spending trades on now - Doch, Laird, Adams etc all doing well and Otten, Marchbank, Hampton etc all still mooing - it's solid down there and the last place I'm using trades on. Will still be plenty of better options later on well under 500k

Getting good rookies in/generating cash/getting rid of bad rookies, is all much more important than Hibberd for 400k lol

In good news:

Lyon: Harley Balic will be available, Danyle Pearce, Nick Suban, those sort of guys are in line to replace Stephen Hill

I would rather double downgrade next week to be honest like you said due to a few good rookies being on the bubble.

If I do 2 downgrades Butler > Black and Parfitt > Parsons I can then go Steele (current M8) > $600,000 + midfield premo the week after and complete my mids.  8)

Double downgrade this week instead, then decide next week depending on what's available and my structure.

I don't feel im stuck with many of the so called hacks.

Pickett is still making cash just slowly, happy to hold until he full maxes out. Hoping he drops a reasonable score just after the majority jump off.
Barrett should come back soon.
Parfitt potentially still has 1-2 weeks left.
Hibberd is my swing loophole which im happy to keep or trade depending on what's available.
Eddy is a hack and needs to go barring a recall this week.
SPP I want to see another week from due to the Boak injury and how It might help his scoring.
Butler is still good
Newman should come back at some point
Williamson is making good cash

So really the only 1 I feel I need to move on is Eddy, unless he comes back in this week or I need to keep for a loophole.

So my plans currently are
This week
WHE to Hardwick (Loophole w Butler).
If I want to take the Loophole I keep Eddy and trade Hibberd to Balic instead of Eddy to Balic.
If Balic not named Eddy to Fisher via Parfitt Fwd (Loophole Fisher into SPP via Hibberd and Hardwick via Strndeca)

Next Week
Parfitt/Pickett/SPP to Black/Other rookie & Reevaluate trade 2 based on whats available.

Other than WHE none of this impacts who I have on field and with WHE I still get too loophole in my best score.

Fid

Double down grade this week....

No need to rush and get a second choice premo.

I'd rather get rid of the dead wood and make more cash and buy better premos

Don't forget Myers is on his way ;) much rather him than the average rookies available next week

None of the forwards next week are mids like him ;)

Much needed forwards and defenders downgrade options

If he is healthy I'll try and run him at M8 until the rest of my team is complete.

I have Steele as my M8 so no rookie needed there.

Playing 2 rookies up forward though in Butler and Houston.

Mat0369

Apart from the fact Steele is a forward so you could move him into the forward line.

kilbluff1985

Kurt Mutimer been killing it in Eagles reserves lookout for him
