Macreadie is another and I expect him to rest and Polson to come in next week. I'm not sure how serious the calf is but considering his age he will be managed.

You can't really pick both Berry and Balic, there is really only Pickett or Taranto who are asking to be traded.. the rest of the cows are still mooing along and thus, I couldn't justify culling a couple just to get in a couple on the bubble

Pickett, Florent, Stewart and Eddy could all be dumped

Disagree, I think all can pop out a 80-100 and see them make some significant cashola

Need to see the break evens this week and then decide and think most of these have another 1/2 weeks before peaking.

Alright, so Berry has been an absolute flop which I'm disappointed about because I was hoping he would be good

This week we have Berry, Balic, Parsons and Williamson on the bubble as well as a few expensive guys in Glugg, Logue and Menzel

What are peoples thoughts?

Personally, I think Balic is the only one I'll be grabbing this week. Eddy and Pickett the two in line to move for him.

Then next week we'll have Cox, Fisher and Long

Slim pickings overall

Balic this week and Fisher next week is all that really interests me. Will keep an eye on Long but didn't look good today

Really need rookies to come through so I can start upgrading!

Yeah I agree.

Fisher and Balic are the only ones that look any good out of that lot.

pickett and eddy need to go but not much on offer. balic is a pass from me. maybe fisher next seek if he backs up his rd 1 score.

Will also be watching Cox in his second game. He showed a bit yesterday in the flogging. Kicks off both feet but needs to be hard at the ball more when going for marks.

One of many who starred - Ryan Harwood played as a small forward booting 3 goals. Can not read too much into the NEAFL as Southport are on the bottom pf the ladder.  Bundy laid 11 tackles to show he is over his shoulder issues so should return to Seniors next week.
Other rookies apart from Barrett who are pushing case for promotion to Seniors are Liam Dawson and Alex Witherden.

A lot depends on how Parsons goes today, as not convinced on Balic.  Also, should Stewart have another poor one/and or get dropped, Williamson wouldn't be the worst trade, though reseaonably happy in defence otherwise.

How many are considering Jake Spencer in a couple of weeks should he score ok next week?

Spencer's 2015 sample of games was trending upwards until Gawn broke the door down and demanded AFL selection, FWIW

His last 3 2015 games was when he was playing second fiddle to Gawn. Else he scored 68, 90, 115 and 105 without him

Hes very good, not really in question imo, but as usual ross doesnt give the rookies much time on the field, which is the worry..similar thing to blakley last year :P

That's because Blakely had a poor tank and couldn't play anywhere else apart from midfield. If he could be an effective forward it would help him stay out there longer in the mid rotation

Balic 66% on the weekend isn't too bad for a 2nd gamer mid/fwd
