Thoughts on picking Darcy Cameron as loophole for Butler and Eddy at F6? I'm clutching at straws here haha but Swans seemed keen on him so should come in once his finger is good you'd think.

I think you have to treat him as a downgrade option. You could probably have a rookie ready to be downgraded by the time he is healthy and pocket the cash on an upgrade.

It's pretty rare it would only keep him out for 1 week and he will still have to break back into the side. You treat him as a downgrade option because it will give you 2 weeks when he finally does play to monitor his scores and see if he is any good for cash generation. If you're picking rookies you want to make cash out of them.

Yeah but what's the alternative to not picking him? There are no other playing rookie rucks near camerons price..so if you pick strndica and then see that cameron plays in week 2 and is avging 75, do you bring him in in week 4? Why not just start with him and have a floating donut who will likely play soon rather than wasting a trade on him?

He doesn't work as a downgrade option unless you're starting witts, but even that doesn't work because if you're starting witts then he's most likely on the field with another premo ruck...

So then you've got (for arguments sake) Gawn + Witts, Strndica bench. Witts matures and cameron is available on the bubble. You're trading out a rookie for another rookie on-field. Witts needs to be a straight upgrade, not a downgrade. Sandilands/Nank need to be sideways trades as well.

Nank 366K = 68 price

Florent to average 61 is far far far far more likely than Nank averaging 98 IMO. If you're picking Nank you'd want him to be a top 6 forward, if not you're picking an inferior cow. Keeper? No. Cow? Yes but he won't moo as much as others.

Get Florent in there lads.

I'm starting Nank in forwards with the hope he becomes a keeper. If not, it's easy to turn him and Witts into a premo ruck

If you start Witts at R3 (although pricier) you can ride him for 5 weeks and then downgrade to Cameron. If you start the Freo dude you can bring Cameron in as a forward rookie down the track and downgrade someone like Houston. That's the way I see it.

I think I can afford to start one of Stewart/Otten each week at D6. In the middle it's one of SPS or SPP each week and down forward I'd have enough faith in Taranto/Hoskin-Elliott/Turner not being a mile off the forwards. Forward line will give us the most in terms of sheer numbers out of the rookies. I'm just spewing I had to take Selwood out of my team to sure up D3

What is everyone thinking if Otten, Stewart, and EVW are all named on the extended bench? I might be a bit screwed cause I wouldn't want to run the risk of one them missing out and would proceed to go TMitch - SPS and one of them to Rance as my 4th premo back there but I would need to make that decision tomorrow night without knowing if any of them will actually miss since that gets announced on Friday afternoon.

Can't we just get rid of the Thursday game for Round one :P
