Bully

Too expensive but nice player to watch. Does the hard stuff so not a powder puff outsider.

Melbourne could pull one of the biggest selection surprises of the opening round with former gun basketballer Joel Smith on the verge of a Round 1 debut.

Demons’ senior coach Simon Goodwin is considering playing the spring-heeled defender to help cover injured backmen Michael Hibberd (achilles) and Colin Garland (knee) and retired linebreaker Heritier Lumumba against St Kilda on Saturday.

... biggest surprise? A SURPRISE?

Jesus, they should take a look on Fanfooty and see if there was any hint of his debut coming before they post that garbage...

On that, Dave Misson (our injury guy) just said that Hibberd is 2 weeks away from playing. That is likely to be at Casey first before he plays AFL, so Joel Smith would have that magic 3 week window to earn money...

So we get one price rise out of him and then he's out lol?

To be fair, 3 weeks is pretty good job security for a rookie. Enough time to play himself into the team. If not good enough, won't get games regardless

Seriously considering SPS for M8.

M7 for me at the moment, traded out Swallow. Problem is I now have 140k and no where to use it haha

traded out a great stepping stone for a rookie with no JLT form. risky man!

SPS has great JS. thats about all we know.

Rookies don't get picked with no pre-season games if they are spuds.

Why????

Kids a gun and he's been picked over guys who played all preseason. Prefer him to Taranto in the sense that he should be able to do what Taranto will do but in a team with a lot less fantasy relevant guys... $20k cheaper too.

So who's picking Pickett and or Butler?

Who's fielding either?
