Anyone think Jake Kelly is worth the extra 30k over Keefe, Scharenberg and Hampton?

No way.  If Hampton plays R1, he's the pick of the bunch.  Has been training with midfield so likely to play partially in MID, partially up FWD/BACK

no, unlikely to break into the team without an injury and then will score similar at best.
Okay cheers mate! Just looking at all my options :)

Jarrod Berry has had minor knee surgery but expected to be available for Rd 1.

Will he get a game round 1 though after missing that much training in the lead up?
He probably wouldn't have played anyway tbh

Then he's 0 chance now haha
Yeah I dunno what Ringo thinks, but unless he lit up the pre-season games and others didn't/got injured, I'd probably have him just outside of our emergencies.
I did not have him playing Rd 1 before injuries:
Frost, Andrews, Gardiner/McStay will be the three tall defenders.
Leaves Harwood, Cutler, Mayes, Paparone, Claye Beams, Berry, Skinner fighting for 3 positions. Also Rich in the mix if Fagan uses him of HB.

Hmmm even if he gets named rd1 I'm not sure if I want to play that much for someone who could only play a few games at a time

Hit the nail on the head Gigantor - Thinking the same thing when I read the report - Even if rested after 5 games may not make enough cash given his price and wary of high priced non playing rookies ocuppying my bench.

Looks a tad concerning. Still in my team but definitely something to think about.

Bully

I was tossing up between McGrath & McCluggage, looks like my decision will be easy.

RaisyDaisy

The only reason I have McGrath atm is because I'm waiting on rookies who line up rd1

If there's enough he's gone, just a place holder for me. 200K rookies take way too long to make enough cash and with so much Dons returning he's not guaranteed at all

I was also concerned about the suggestion that he wouldn't play much midfield.  So even when he does play, his output isn't going to be high.  He's already gone from my team.  Plenty of players cheaper that can produce similar output with potentially better JS.  But this is all based on the unknown of who will line up R1

Keep him in as a placeholder and to keep the % selected high. High % means he gets talked up more and selected by more. Then we all take him out. Lol.

Horse said at his presser the other day that he thinks Nic Newman can make an impact across then backline this season, averaged 28 posis in the NEAFL off a back flank last year, can play.

Pretty sure similar things were said last year about him.

Newman/Foote big chances to come in as replacements for Titch

Newman to backs, Mills to mids

Yeah I have both in my side at the moment, but I can't see both getting a gig, will be tough enough for just one of them to break in

RaisyDaisy

Papley injured
McGlynn retired
Richards left
Titch traded

That's 4 (3 once Pap returns) new spots up for grabs

Very good chance I start 1-2 Swan rookies, and right now Newman, Foote and maybe even the ruck/forward Cameron are probably the best 3 in terms of chances

Either way, there's at least 3 new spots so keep an eye on the young Swans
