Yeah I'm not convinced butler will run out round 1 but he's a chance. Should be an easy swap if he doesn't anyway.
Agree with you on Gawn bully. Won't be in my rd 1 team if spencer is there and neither will Goldy if Preus is there. Gonna make things very interesting.

Like it Quinny - Beams will effect Rockys scoring as in games he has played with Rocky he averages just under the 100 although not a lot to go on there due to minimum number 9 with 2 Injury effected by Beams.  Just a thought and have done a table from 2015 for you.  Also show averages when last 2 taken into account as that was when Beams really struggled with knee.

Zorko would be my choice if you wanted a Brisbane player as teams tend to let him run putting efforts into Beams, Rich and Rocky.  Your choice though if to another Prem.

I am using Stef as R1 with Sandi and that allows me a better defence.

Like all we await what rookies will be available. Being a Tigers supporter you would know more about Butlers chances than me.

Don't think Butler makes the cut but one of Houston or Miles should. Also don't like the Gawn pick if Spencer is named.
I was watching Butler verse Port in round one and ever since then he has been in my side. He adds pace which the tigers don't have much of.

Edwards, Riewoldt, Lennon
Rioli, Griffith, Lloyd

Is probably the best 6 but Butler could easily take a bench spot in my opinion as the tigers forward line shouldn't be that hard to break into.

Castagna has been more consistent so I think he gets the gig.
Good point. I still think he is a chance for round one but he is by no means a lock.

Rocky is also injury affected in those games. The 71 he only played a half because Varcoe got him in the ribs at the start of the 3rd. So that would have been 120+. The 57 was his first game back from the broken ribs (and possibly punctured lung as well?), and he clearly wasn't 100% ready to come back into the side. He then got concussed at the start of round 5, and so in round 6 coming back from concussion and imo still not recovered from ribs, so still went a bit under 100 the next 2 weeks. Round 9 he played the whole match with broken ribs again (about 5-10 mins into the first qtr against the Saints it happened) and still scored 103.

In other words, I'd ignore Rocky's scoring from rounds 1-9, as it was basically all impacted by injury. He wasn't going at 100% until round 15 (and I guess the first half of round 1 where he scored 70). So 126, 101, 135 (he got 124 DT) in his fit games with Beams, for an average of a 120.67ppg.

Hadn't really considered the effect Beams may have on him. Hard to believe they have barely played together as one or the other are always injured.
Will stick with Rocky for now but that maybe a good way to find a little extra cash by slightly downgrading him

Looking at those stats there does appear to be an inverse relationship with Beams, it's definitely a small sample though. I'm more concerned about Rocky's role to be honest, with Mathieson on the fringes there's every chance Rocky spends more time forward.

Yeah I agree the sample is too small to make any real judgements, but just showing that it isn't exactly true that Beams has impacted Rocky's scoring, just injury.

Need a little advice on trades!

D: H.Shaw, T.Adams, R.Laird, C.Marchbank, C.Hampton, A.Otten (T.Stewart M.Hibberd)

M: P.Dangerfield, S.Pendlebury, J.Kennedy, N.Fyfe, D.Beams, J.Omeara, D.Swallow, S.Powell-pep (S.PS, J.Barrett, J.Pickett)

R: M.Gawn, A.Sandilands (L.Strnadica)

30 trades $17,100

I've locked in Roughy > WHE with leaves me $170,900 but do I do another trade to bring in Houston? My options are:

Taranto > Houston
SPS > Houston (Via Taranto to mids)
Pickett > Houston (Via Taranto to mids)

The other option is to wait a week and make one of these trades to Hayward
Will also be bringing in Newman for Hibberd next week.

Thoughts?

HoleMeal

Maybe JOM OUT, bring Hibberd down to mids and get a perm Defender like Tmac, Z Williams or Lloyd or someone?
