First crack at it. Have very little clue about rookies at this stage so feel free to give some advice!

D: H.Shaw, T.Adams, R.Laird, R.Murphy, M.Scharenberg, J.Berry (L.Ryan, B.Long)

M: P.Dangerfield, S.Pendlebury, N.Fyfe, D.Heppell, D.Beams, D.Swallow, W.Brodie, D.Myers (J.Barrett, N.Freeman, J.Graham)

R: T.Goldstein, A.Sandilands (L.Strnadica)

F: L.Dahlhaus, B.Deledio, P.Ryder, H.Bennell, J.Thomas, B.Simpkin (S.Bolton, B.Eddy)

$180,700 left over. Already a bit up in the air about Heppell so will probably change him to super premo 100 times between now and round 1

No love for Macrae with a M/F DPP.

Other mid rookies to consider Mutch and Dylan Clarke from the bombers.

Thanks Ringo,
Macrae certainly on the radar and if Ryder doesn't look like he will be rucking alone in 2017 then will upgrade him to Macrae.
Will keep a close on on those rookies over the pre season :) cheers

Like the way the side is set up in general. Not sure on Murphy n the backs, even at his discounted price. Also not sure why everyone seems to have Deledio? Priced at over 500k and going into an unknown role.. he will be in a much better team, but it also has a much much better midfield meaning he may not get the midfield minutes he used to.
As a pies fan I really can't see J.Thomas getting a go early in the year but there's a few others around his price.

Overall I'd probaby just use the cash left on Murphy or Heppell to a better premium. Maybe save some cash on Deledio and get in Gawn in the rucks?

Agree to an extent with J.Thomas, but he can fill the inside role of Adams and tackles hard allowing Adams to push further back. I think he's just a better version of Wills... sayin that I don't think either will play early. (Pies fan)

At 392k I'm willing to roll the dice on Bob as long as he's fit and ready for round 1.

I haven't seen anyone with Lids yet? He played 2015 purely as a half forward and averaged 112 and previous to this year had 8 straight years of averaging 100+ in various roles (scored 95 with a horror season this year). He is class and doesn't need big numbers to score 100's and personally think he's the biggest certainty of anyone in the fwd line to average 100+. Only concern for me is his body holding up but will get a good idea of that through the pre season.

J.Thomas just a place holder as my knowledge of the rookies is terrible at this time of year haha

Yeah I'm not too keen on the Bombers boys, reckon they'll start slow. Been wrong many times before though :P

Pre JLT team. Will probably sit on this until I see some players in action. Have gone with a heavy midfield as there appear to be good rookie options front and back. Give us your thoughts.

Money Shot

Good team, sit on it til JLT

Ringo

Yep nice team to sit until we see rookies - Seems like most going heavy in mids,

quinny88

Post JLT team. No closer to knowing what rookies I'll have round 1 and with only 23.8k in the kitty I may have to downgrade somewhere to pay for more expensive rookies. Also considering dropping Rocky to Swallow to bring in another defensive premium. Let me know what you think anyway. Cheers!

Bully

Don't think Butler makes the cut but one of Houston or Miles should. Also don't like the Gawn pick if Spencer is named.

I was watching Butler verse Port in round one and ever since then he has been in my side. He adds pace which the tigers don't have much of.

Edwards, Riewoldt, Lennon
Rioli, Griffith, Lloyd

Is probably the best 6 but Butler could easily take a bench spot in my opinion as the tigers forward line shouldn't be that hard to break into.

Castagna has been more consistent so I think he gets the gig.
