Bit harsh on Hartlett enzed

In terms of defender numbers, he's had years of prem scoring. If he looks switched on preseason, he's in for me

Not for me at this stage. His drop in scoring coincided with him moving in a loose man in defence role. He did have the odd good game in the 100-120 range, but that normally was when he had outstanding games.
His History of premium scoring was when he has been running through the midfield, If it looks like he will be back in this role then he is a good shout at a shot, but if he is running off half back it is unlikely he will be a premium scorer.

As for Sauce, only start him if you think he can go 110+

No point otherwise. You want the best 2 rucks

Gawn and Goldy. Sandi for value and Grundy for breakout. They're the only 4 I'd look at, but even then I cant see Grundy matching Gawn and Goldy so it's a 3 horse race for me

RaisyDaisy

Gawn Sandi is what I'm looking at. Sandi so cheap, and gives me time to see who the second best ruck will be for the upgrade later

Small chance Sandi turns keeper too

Not worried about Gawns price RD? Just concerned a little whether he will have slowdon like Jacobs, Berger etc in the past after strong years. Even Goldy dropped a little last year.

There's enough bargains elsewhere so I'm comfortable spending up on Gawn as I'm confident he'll be top 2 so set and forget

Gawn-Goldy locked in for me this year. Spent way too many trades on the rucks in the last few seasons.

Even if Gawn drops off by 10 points a game I'd still be happy with a 108 average.

Think Gawn is a must I'd be more worried about Daw taking some scoring away from Goldy next year

I think there is a guy called Nathan Fyfe who I might consider ;)

Rucks are doing my head in. Way too much to choose from.

Gawn probably number one but expensive compared to other rucks.
Goldy underpriced due to injury and most proven, however tough early draw.
Stef $488k and priced at 89, two previous years 110+
Grundy $500k and set to keep improving.. plays exactly like Stef
Sandi most dominant ruck ever, years upon years of good scoring. However is he durable? Only $308k though!!!!!

Very few ruckmen can or have backed up a year like gawn's... i reckon goldy was a bit underdone and will pick back up this year. If you think the pies are on the rise then you have to have grundy and i reckon Nankervis is a good one to have up forward as a swingman and cover...
stef martin has a little bit of uncertainty for me after the burns and scars he left on my team.

My Setup atm is:

Goldstein, Grundy (FWD/RUC Rookie)

Nankervis up forward

Only defender I'd consider is Murphy if he's good to go round 1. Hartlett's HB role effected his SC output, only way I'd consider him if he went back to a midfield role.

If Beams is fit I'll start him, potential keeper if he can stay on the park. I like Swallow as a stepping stone, if he's ready to go round 1 he could make some quick cash for first upgrade.

The rucks I'm a bit torn on. Surely Daw gets some significant ruck minutes in 2017 which has to have some effect on Goldy's numbers. Leaning towards starting Gawn/Sandi with Ryder at F3 for some cover. If Ryder is the number 1 ruck he should put up some decent numbers and if Sandi can stay on the park for a while and make some coin it buys me some time to see how the ruck division is playing out.

So many ifs & buts in the rucks for me next season, not sure it's as clean cut as some think.

Hartlett as far as I can recall has never been in my team. He's also never been one that I've been worried about getting in.
Adams, Docherty, Montagna, Shaw, Laird, Vince, JJ, Simpson are on my radar to fill my defensive spots all going well. Happy to add Hartlett mid season if I'm wrong and he is a genuine premo but I'm not going to start him.

Dayne Beams and thats it.

not going near Sandi im not wasting trades in the rucks.

Goldy Grundy too good value both underpriced.

mids im going Premo

I don't see Grundy as having any better scoring potential than Sandi has apart from the injury issues. Surely you're still going to want Gawn in there at some stage?

Grundy gets more stats and tackles... I reckon if he cracks down on his clangers he could push above 105, but i reckon he will improve to 100 give or take a couple of points.
