Money Shot

Very similar structure too my current line up. So obviously I'm a fan.

You have O'meara and Swallow while I have Trealor and rookie although with the current mid rookie problems I may go with your approach.

Ringo

Possible changes being looked at and dependant on rookies available:

O'Meara to a rookie and McGrath to a a 3rd prem defender
Goldstein to Sandi and Ryder/Lycett/Boyd at F3 - Boyd coming into consideration due to Roughead injury.

Whatever happens hoping, barring injury, to have a minimum of 12 keepers. This should allow me after upgrades etc a minimum of 10 trades for injuries and finals. Famous last words as we are not in an ideal word. Reckon jhave 12 atm and could be 14 if both O'Meara and Swallow remain healthy and score consistently.

Thats the plan anyway.

Boyd on my radar also

Team starting to take shape and this will probably be the team I sit on till round 1.

Obviously some risks involved and you need to take to get the big biscuits.  Murphy, Beams, Swallow, O'Meara and Roughy all coming back from injury the risks.
Still not 100% sold on Higgins, like Miller but with Ryder in Team can not afford 2 out in Rd 9 before other outs arise.
Interestingly with this team have no first year rookies on the field.
Wanted to see Beams in JLT before locking him. Looking at last night think he will effect Rockys score more than Zorko as both play similar roles.
Assuming all the risky players still playing and in my team at byes:
13 playing Rd 11
12 playing rd 12
11 Playing Rd 13.

Also have 60k cash.

Interestingly how you get drawn back to the mid priced players returning  ;). But this team looks a lot more balanced.

Bully

Nice team Ringo, exactly the same structure as my own. Here's our head to head situation:

Monty vs Rance
Adams vs R.Murphy
Selwood vs Rocky
Zorko vs M.Murphy
Gawn vs Goldy
Higgins vs Macrae

That seems a pretty even tussle, would probably come down to captain's picks and rookie selections. You've also got a nice forward loophole option with the Ryder/Strnadica combo, this is something that has been largely overlooked.

Ringo

Still trying to decide whether to go the Gawnstein rucks or use Sandi and Gawn with Nankervis the back ruck.

Gawnstein is the safer option

Ringo

Just did this slight adjustment and feel comfortable with it.

Pickett down to Parfitt  allowing
Goldy to Gawn

Good decision ringo dont see Pickett starting and if he does JS will be suspect.
20 bucks who will score more points and average higher.   Goldy or Gawn?   For me it is Gawn being top 5 overall for the year.    Goldy 110 average at best.   Mind you if Sandi was 500K I would be starting Goldy but at 300k too good to overlook.

Ringo

With the emergence of Nankervis as likely No 1 ruck at tigers, uncertainty with Gawn spending time forward and the effect of Preuss on Goldy though I would experiment a little.

Idea to upgrade rucks if required when we get an idea as to which rucks will be dominant for 2017.

Still not sure I will start with this structure but worth some consideration. Risk though with the low rucks but reckon Sandi and Nank can average 190 - 200 between them which is only 20ppg below the Gawn Goldy combo and you pick up on other lines.

So basically have to decide this structure v one above.

Cookie Monster

I rate both structures highly. I'm jumping on the Nankervis bandwagon the same way everyone jumped on the Doggies last year.

Sandi looked great in JLT game on the weekend. I think that could work.

Myself, I'm sticking with Gawn and Nankervis. A very similar structure which the only difference is I have JOM at M6 instead of Beams and a couple of rookies.

Both I think will work, it's just a matter on your own opinion.

Bully

I toyed with a similar structure but in the end I asked myself two questions. 1. What happens if a ruck goes down early? & 2. Will Gawn be a top 2 ruck by season's end?

One can still have Nank in the forward line and to be fair, he's just as much use there as he is in the ruck. The only reasoning I can see in following this structure is to seal up F5 & F6. Those would appear to be the weak spots in most people's team. I'm currently trying to work that out for myself, it may even involve working out a cunning forward loophole strategy.

Sven

As you know, I have a very similar structure, I have one rookie on the field in the mids, bout the only difference.

But geez, there are some interesting player choices...

Howe? I really cant see him being a top 10 defender, he is used too inconsistently, and when he is played out of position, his SC score sucks. Would rather Vince at the same price. Keeffe will be a prominent feature, but his scoring potential worries me.

Shoenmakers. :/ JS is a huge issue, 36 games in 4 seasons.

Personally dont like Caddy, reckon he could be a bit of a trap pick. Hasnt set the world on fire, Macrae feels like a safer pick. Love the Higgins pick though, dont have the balls to pick him though, those injury concerns. :/

Best of luck though!

Howe was one of the best performers from round 6 onwards, Vince is the one you should be very worried about, looks to be the primary tagger.

Ringo

Slight change of Team 2
Caddy to Heeney
Keeffe to Marchbank.
