Very nice team especially this early on.

Not sure about Taylor Adams value as a defender, I think you could find someone better around that price range. JJ, Rance. But that's just my opinion. I think his role was more of a stopper wasn't it? not too sure.

Definitely think you could have at least one of McCluggage, Tarranto or Ainsworth especially since they are DPP. McCluggage would be my pick. Heard that he's tearing up pre-season and is so silky. Think he might be worth the money.

I like having Ablett in every year but I think he might start of a bit slow this season like he did last. Give him a few weeks then I think you could cash in on his value maybe 6 weeks in.

I'll start by saying that I agree with most of what you've posted, and am 100% of the same opinion re: Ablett. The one thing that jars with me though is your thoughts on Adams, especially when you've used JJ as a replacement option!

There's no logic behind suggesting that JJ is a better pick than Adams. He's had 13 games in his whole career that have been 100+ whereas Adams has averaged nearly that for the past 2 years straight. JJ 'broke-out' last year, however he only played 13 (h&a) games for the whole season, 16 in total, of which there are 5 that would be considered 'poor' for a keeper defender.
65, 66, 69, 70 & 75

In contrast with Adams, who last year, from his 14 games had a bottom 5 of:
60, 72, 78, 88 & 93.

Neither player is reliable as far as injuries are concerned, so the only thing we really have to go on is scoring history and the role within the team. Adams plays as an in and under midfielder, who has cemented himself firmly in the team and leadership group (Bucks' love child!) whereas JJ is a rebounding defender.

Adams a stopper? must be a joke... Do you not watch us, we have Crisp amd Greenwood who do that (with little to no success).

I honestly don't see the appeal in JJ another one in the same boat as boyd for me. His stats didn't get backed up by his score on grand final day. Stats were amazing score was not. He's way too ineffective with his disposal and goes quiet through strings of games. Adams when he's off with his disposal will still rack up enough of it to scrap his way to 85+ which is something JJ cant do averaging in the low 20 for disposals. If you were gonna go an option other than adams, it'd be Howe, Rance, Montagna.

Also JJ has gone and brought back the old Blonde Wig.... Looking horrible. Can't have that shower running around in my team.

Must be time for a team update. As I like Nankervis a lot decided to put up a team with Sandilands in it.  See what you think.

DEF
Docherty,   Laird,   Howe,   C Mills,   C Hampton,   M Hibberd                                        //  E V-W,  Stewart

MID
Dangerfield,   Pendlebury,   J Sewood,   N Fyfe,   T Mitchell,   J O'M,   D Swallow,   W Brodie,   //   S Powell-Pepper,   J Barrett,   H Wigg

RUCK
T Goldstein,   A Sandilands                                                                                           // L Strnadica

FOR
L Dahlhaus,   J Caddy,   T Nankervis,   B Ainsworth,   J Bowes,   A Black                         //  J Gallucci,   B Eddy

$33,100 over.  Not too sure about rookies but have tried to select those that appear at this time have the best chance of playing rd,1.  I think this team capable of scoring pretty well from the start as well as generating cash at a reasonable rate. What are your thoughts  ??  Is this closer to a good team or am I getting further away  ??           ;)

Bully

Strong across all lines, some good POD's. I'd sit on that team for the moment. Obviously rookies will need to be sorted closer to the time but the 33k gives you plenty of flexibility. Nank is an interesting pick, should average 85 which is decent for the price. The only glaring omission is Roughie, I'd be attempting to turn Ainsworth into him by whatever means possible.

It came down to Nank or Roughy and needed ruck back up for Sandy. Watching the Roughead very closely though and can get him in if decided. Thanks mate.         ;)

Curious what you think Ainsworth will score? I know they play different lines but I don't see Bowes Brodie and Ainsworth all playing from the get go.
In all honesty be lucky to have one of these guys line up round 1.

I like the nankervis pick , he has looked very good . . Thinking about Ryder to him also . .

Rocket has already said Ainsworth is locked for round 1 (although never trust the coach amiright), and Brodie pushing for selection now. Haven't heard anything on Bowes for a bit over a week now...

I think Brodie will line up Rd.1  with Ainsworth and Bowes on an extended bench. Have them all in my team as it gives me a reasonable amount of $ to alter rookie selections if necessary. I'm of the opinion that come selection night there will be a mad SC scramble to change teams. I'm thinking that there will be more rookies available with better JS among the defenders, and that apart from Taranto and McLuggage there won't be many if any other F/M rookies selected. Have already looked at downgrading Docherty and Titchell in order to deal with this. Bloody good pick up Mr E. Cheers and all the best.

Nice team to sit on with nice structure.  Personally not sure on both Howe and Mills just watch the 3rd JLT games where most sides will put out their best teams.

Rookies i think will give us all grief until we see who plays eg Gallucci not playing for Crows today.

Can't see Gallucci lining up rd. 1  either.  He's a sitter, someone that is DPP at the right price but unlikely to play but cover for the player of that type and position that I haven't been able to bloody locate yet.

PS   Gallucci playing today with 2 posessions up to 1/2 time.

Howe and Mills are relatively safe defensive picks. Both should be minimum 90 possible 100 at cheaper prices. Well worth a punt.
Agree with rookies comments.
Good luck long in the tooth. ;)

Decided to make up a team with as few as possible starting rookies. It;s weakness of course is the lower number of definite keepers which in my count is about 9. It's strength is that it gives me a great deal of flexibility on selection night if there are a reasonable amount of rookies selected that look job secure for at least 8 to 10 rounds. Have chosen English as R3 for some cash generation providing he lines up for Rd.1. If that is a chance can downgrade to a non-playing R/F with a view to captain looping later.

$6,500 salary cap left.  Danger (C)  and Hanners (VC) and  1834 projected points.
Would probably only consider starting this team if there was a real glut of starting rookies, and even then I would more than likely change it around a bit.  Any suggestions always welcome. Cheers and all the best.                 ;)
