If all those defence rookies are a go then this will be a very similar set up as mine!
Great side with some nice pods!

Thanks MS, here's hoping !!    ;)

Like your structure ST - Different to mine but effective. 2 Prem Defenders and rookies a risk but you will know more as the preseason progresses. Some nice Pods as well.

Caddy an interesting choice and could be gold especially with Lids departure.

Wouldn't we all like an extra $550k to $1m to spare.

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Would be nice if the defensive rookies are a go.
Nice set up, that being the case.

Figured it was time for another structure, one heavily dependent on the right rookies gaining selection so as to be able to concentrate on early scoring potentials. I'm probably 100 % wrong but have an enormous gut hunch, it's really   really strong.    It's not gastro or even Delhi Belly, just a really strong gut hunch that there could be a huge change in the top scoring defenders this season. So would love to have about 3 to 4 rookies playing and scoring reasonably well from Rd.1. So this is just a bit of a play around team.

Defence.
T Adams,   R Laird,   A McGrath,   G Logue,   L Keefe,   C Hampton                                    //  M Hibberd,   L Ryan

Midfield
P Dangerfield,   S Pendlebury,   A Treloar,   M Bontempelli,    R Sloane,   N Fyfe,   D Beams,   D Myers,
                                                                                                                                           //  B Ainsworth,   S Powell-Pepper,   C Brown

Ruck
T Goldstein,   L Sandilands                                                                                                  //   L Strnadica

Forwards
L Dahlhaus,   J Macrae,   P Ryder,   H McLuggage,   J Bowes,   J Simpkin,                           //  J Pickett,   S Bolton

$23,400 salary cap left and have picked some of the more expensive rookies for flexibility.  Any suggestions ??                      ;)

Like it Sabretooth - Great if you can out that team out Rd 1. Defence would be the worry with 4 rookies each week having to be fielded so hopefully allowing upgrade earlier.

Exactly , it all depends on the likely reliability of the starting rookies for each position. Will likely favour going light on either attack or defence if it is practicable. Thanks for the comment and cheers mate.     :)

To start a side of this structure I would really need 6 starting defence rookies playing in round 1. I am tempted to try something outside the square we know, as the last couple of seasons have been bloody horrific for the Sabres.

Although I don't see too much of a change in the top end of defenders I think that Docherty, Simpson and Montagna will all drop in price meaning that they could be got later in the season. Shaw I think will be a top end defender again and selection would be justifiable however Laird and Adams are the two that could really burst onto the scene. I'm going with a two premium defence at this stage as well and I think they are the two to start with.

Rest of the team is strong as well.

Hope we both have better seasons than last ;)

The latest in an endlessly changing team of changeables.    To me it looks like an average  team with nothing much out of the ordinary filled with players you'd expect to find in most teams. But according to Coaches Choice :-         Thurlow 10.8 %,   Hannerbury 10.1 %    Caddy   9.8 %   Deledio 9.2 %   Ablett  8.1 %   S Selwood  7.5 %   C Hampton 7.0 %   and K Turner  1.5 %  aren't really that popular at this point of time. So here goes hopefully for the last time before the JLT.  $22,200 remaining but can make Thurlow in to C Mills very easily, perhaps Macrae or Caddy in to H Bennell if he looks like starting well, or even lose one of S Selwood or D Swallow if required, or of course G Ablett can become any other midfielder.

Defence
T Adams,   R Laird,   J Thurlow,   A McGrath,   L Keefe,   C Hampton,                                       //  L Ryan,   T Stewart

Midfield
P Dangerfield,   S Pendlebury,   G Ablett,   D Hannerbury,   N Fyfe,   S Selwood,   D Swallow,   D Myers,   //   S Powell-Pepper,
                                                                                                                                                      M Hibberd,   J Graham

Ruck
M Gawn,   T Goldstein                                                                                                               //   L Strnadica

Forwards
L Dahlhaus,   J Macrae,   J Caddy,   B Ainsworth,   J Bowes,   W Rioli,                                       //   K Turner,   S Bolton

Any thoughts or observations always welcome, cheers pete.   OOOOOppppsss Just heard Deledio calf injury on 10 news. Out Deledio in J Macrae.   Now $31,200  over.                              ;)

Thanks mate. Cheers.

Nice team to sit on - Suspect if you calculated % amongst FF members it would be higher.  ;)

In my opinion there are 4 that should be in all teams - Danger, Pendles, Gawn and Dahlhuas. The rest are very much subjective and how you spend the remainder. You have a good team to sit on.

Cookie Monster

Very nice team especially this early on.

Not sure about Taylor Adams value as a defender, I think you could find someone better around that price range. JJ, Rance. But that's just my opinion. I think his role was more of a stopper wasn't it? not too sure.

Definitely think you could have at least one of McCluggage, Tarranto or Ainsworth especially since they are DPP. McCluggage would be my pick. Heard that he's tearing up pre-season and is so silky. Think he might be worth the money.

I like having Ablett in every year but I think he might start of a bit slow this season like he did last. Give him a few weeks then I think you could cash in on his value maybe 6 weeks in.

The % of players in FF teams is very, very different to that of general public. And that's why I think this is a very standard team. Will be watching C Mills,  J Martin,  and C Petracca  very, very closely between now and then. Cheers and thanks Ringo.         ;)

I don't mind T Adams and he'll be in half the teams anyway. Already have Ainsworth and will have McLuggage by Rd.1.  I might be suffering from temporary insanity but I believe that Gazza will start like a house on fire in an effort to show the world that he still has what it takes. And if I'm right on this I definitely want to chance him. The downside is loss of 1 trade, but to anyone of your choice because of his price. The upside speaks for itself, only in 8.1 % of teams and VC Rd.1  V  Brisbane for me.  All the best and cheers mate.      ;)
