So what's the thoughts valk/rico et al??

I would've thought Brodie at #8 but maybe they were worried about his kicking??
My other thought is that after MJ's late night kebab shenanigans they thought they'd better shore up the defence despite Collins and Pearce looking good for the future down back??

Out of left field - maybe they think Logue could eventually move into the midfield??!!!  :o    ;)

I like it mate. There's the ability to move into the midfield but to start with you'd assume he'll play through defence and add to our stocks there.

He played in the midfield for a reserves game (from memory) and racked up a lazy 30 touches.  A player by the name of David Mundy was drafted as a key defender ;)

Key Defenders: Dawson, Johnson, A Pearce, J Hamling, S Collins, G Logue, B Cox

We definitely have plenty of options there and with Johnson (32*) and Dawson (31) next season, that still leaves us with 5 key backs moving forward.

*  Johnson turns 33 after the season finishes

In one of the other threads I can see Logue being the FB, A Pearce the CHB and Hamling as the 3rd tall (Johnsons current role) with Collins and Cox as depth.

Logue definitely a midfielder in the long-term imo
