Agree with Meow that 2 rucks plus Wright may be a bit top heavy.  How is the cannon looking this preseason. Know he had a big let down last year but surely at his best would be in best 22.

Tom Lynch and Steven May have today been appointed co-captains of the Gold Coast SUNS.

The two 24 year-olds shared the responsibilities for the final seven games of the 2016 season following Gary Ablett’s shoulder injury, demonstrating their collective leadership qualities to GC SUNS coach, Rodney Eade and the broader club.

“We have spent a lot of time over the last couple of years identifying and developing our next generation of leaders,” Eade said.

“Steven and Tom have stood out throughout that process and their appointment as captains is recognition of their commitment to leading the future direction of the Gold Coast SUNS.

I find it impossible to see GAJ staying up there now. Coach will want to start building something and there's no point building it with Ablett hanging around.

GOLD Coast has begun its long-promised off-season of change, delisting five players just two days after holding its club champion count.

Senior-listed pair Jarrad Grant and Mitch Hallahan and rookies Keegan Brooksby, Ryan Davis and Cameron Loersch have all been told they won't be offered contracts for 2018.
