Dunk goes 11 off 60, then out.  :P

Meanwhile I need Starc to lift to Hazlewoods efforts!
And QLD declare with Labuschagne not out on 85 and Hazlewood on 4 wickets! Total of 100 points gone (If Labus got to 100 and Hazlewood got one more wicket).

I thought the same, I wrote that down when updating the scores. Then noticed they declared went back and checked it again! I had Labush out ct Nevill b Hazlewood for 76, but cricket.com.au now showing Chris Hartley out ct Warner b Hazlewood for 1 instead...

88.4 Hazlewood to Chris Hartley (wk)
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to Chris Hartley. Short, defending, False Shot to wicketkeeper, fielded by Warner.
??? Nevill off the ground?

Possums will be ruing the non-selection of Dan Christian here.
Koalas would be very happy with Cameron Boyce
Devils start to go huge with Cooper and Warner scoring runs.
Swans lose Starc, and as such may have lost their chance of a win.
Cowan keeping the Wombats close the Platypuses

Live scores:
Q Koalas 680 vs 531 NT Kangaroos
NSW Platypuses 427 vs 435 SA Wombats
ACT Cockatoos 629 vs 510 V Possums
T Devils 563 vs 462 WA Swans

The timing of an article like this coming out is just perfect!!!

Also realised that ACT vs VIC is the Grand Final rematch! What coincidence that it's found itself as a Round 1 matchup haha

Yeah I have Boyce out for a duck (Speadsheet will fix that soon) and Faulkner with points against him for getting out, as well points against Faulkner for getting out, so should be the same.

I have an interesting new addition for this season. One which the XV/XVIII comps coulddo, but as far as I am aware none of them do this. Need this final Tassie wicket to be able to start everything off :D

Round 1 Results
Welcome back Shield cricket! The best form of cricket and I reckon the most exciting of the 3 competitions we have. With all the Internationals available, we had some very high scores this week across the board, in fact 7 Test hopefuls find themselves in the best players list below. The Wombats are off to the flyer, passing the 1000 mark. It looks like a long season for WA yet again...

Q Koalas: 929 defeated NT Kangaroos: 670
QLD Best: Burns (199 x2), Head (198), Faulkner (181)
NT Best: Feldman (220), Wade (144 x2), Cartwright (111) [Not named]

NSW Platypuses 605 defeated by SA Wombats 1069
NSW Best: Patterson (189) [Not named], Ferguson (151), Carey (149)
SA Best: SMarsh (273), Sayers (232), Siddle (140)

ACT Cockatoos 969 defeated V Possums 762
ACT Best: Harris (282), Smith (199 x2), Boland (132)
VIC Best: Christian (173) [Not named], Tremain (154), Neser (130)

TAS Best: Warner (196), Cooper (188), Bird (187)
WA Best: Hazlewood (234), Labuschagne (117)

We all wish the world was perfect right, but things don't always go to plan. So whilst we may pick the 6 players we think will score the most for any given round, it isn't usually the case. Throughout the season I'll be posting the best case scenario scores, and also the efficiency rating for each team. E.g. team scores 600, but the best possible score was 800, you're efficiency is 75%.

Round 1 Best Case Scenario
SA Wombats 1207
Q Koalas 1155
ACT Cockatoos 1112
T Devils 1071
V Possums 961
NSW Platypuses 937
NT Kangaroos 896
WA Swans 717

Round 1 Efficiency
SA Wombats 88.57
ACT Cockatoos 87.14
Q Koalas 80.43
V Possums 79.29
WA Swans 76.99
T Devils 76.94
NT Kangaroos 74.78
NSW Platypuses 64.57

Round 2 begins in 7 days, on Friday the 4th November, so be sure to not miss the deadline :)
