69 trades, 3 can be used each week , over 25 rounds.
Can't see many problems making cash.

What are peoples thoughts on posting their teams for critique? Didn't want to do it originally, but in saying that I always go for overall anyway, beating you guys would be icing on the cake!  :P  I'll do it if the majority do...

im game

Westbrook Schroder (Dunn)
Harden Booker (Hield)
KAT (Embiid)
Antekoumpo Saric (Ingram)
Cousins Turner (4.47 Milliion?)

Saric/Ingram my only rookies on field have looked at moving Saric to the PF spot and then finding some cash to bring in someone.

I have thought about this team too

Westbrook Schroder (Dunn)
Harden Booker (Hield)
KAT (Embiid)
Antekoumpo Leonard (Ingram)
Capela Turner (Saric)

dont love the leonard pick but dont love most of the SF in general, means i have no rookies on the field which I like. Cousins and Davis both beasts but they do miss games.
Not sure why the love for Turner but the points system does suit him. Not sure with Dunn his minutes might be restricted but Hield and Ingram should both play enough minutes to score and make good money. Plus I think the scoring system helps Ingram a lot

Turner gets a shot at starting 5 this season so chance for a decent breakout year.

which line up is better though?

Dunn is just there to make cash and i think he will play alot of games, quite a few people have him as being the ROY.

Like a lot of fantasy games, money = points unless you can pick a break out or pick a dud.

Get money on the field.

Team 2 with that bench money on the field is better for week one IMO.

Problem in basketball fantasy especially is getting the right guys who make money...if they are consistently getting minutes or have DNP's etc, so hard to generate cash with those players, then you have the problem of trying to trade them out which is super hard.  It's similar to the NBL fantasy, except the NBA has much more to offer in the low price range.

so are you saying we should have guys like Capela Turner Barnes etc.. on the bench?

Thats basically impossible considering the cap and player prices.  Basically saying that you have a 200, 000 guy on your bench, if you choose wrong you're basically stuck with him until one of your mid pricers (if) make a tonne of cash then you can downgrade to someone who's value has dropped and use that coin to upgrade that bum on your bench.  By going all midpricers is a bit of a waste because there will be too much coin sitting on the bench.  Much tougher to pick your starting lineup than AFL, once you're set you basically play with that team and trade out players if they miss games/have a low number of games in that week.

Thinking about it even further, your bench guys aren't really going to do much, if an on court guy is injured for even 1 or 2 games you are prob going to trade them out and chase the points with 69 trades.

I'm just going off NBL which is similar, it's very rare that anyone will make tonnes of money unless they are an import, you normally trade a guy in based on their price skyrocketing or you trade a guy out based on their price plummeting. Speaking of which, how many games does a player need to play before a price change?

Prices change after 3 games

They take a rolling average over the last three games

Pointless, we're stuck with our drafted teams as most teams play 3 games in the first week!  No opportunity to make an early cash grab or drop someone about to tumble in price.  A lot of teams will play the first couple of weeks and if they drafted an average team will prob stop playing.

players will stake make cash you just miss the first initial jump.

its like a 120k rookie jumping up to 190k, they will still move up to 300k and you gain 110k even if you jump on late.

How quickly / slowly do prices change?

This concept is defiantly ( :P) hard for me to grasp.

Yeah but no but yeah but no.

What I meant was how many dollars do they change? Like say compared to AFL SuperCoach?

1st time this has been done, so noones entirely sure, it will depend on BE's like Supercoach but not sure how that will work.  I'm assuming all players are priced at their points average from last year.  Guys who are expected to increase their playing time should be the ones who make money along with the rookies.

Think my team is settled now, made a few speculative picks and have 2.9 mill still in the bank.
