It does seem over but 2 more 23 year olds in to the team makes sense with our current strategy

Brad Hill - 23yo
Cam McCarthy - 21yo

Potentials
Shane Kersten - 23yo
Joel Hamling - 23yo
Marcus Adams - 23yo
Jonathon Marsh - 20yo

You would still not have a decent ruckman to takeover from Sandi though...remember when you guys just kept waiting for a forward to come along and it never did?  You can't seriously do the same thing waiting for a ruckman can you?!?

valkorum

Its a tough decision.  do we sure up our defensive for the next 7-10 years or do we pick up a potential 7-10 year ruckman ... who will need 3 - 5 years to develop

Tim English
204cm, 86kg

he needs to add a shower load of bulk

Ricochet

We should be able to get one of Hamling/Adams (don't think dogs will let 2 go) and still get English valk.

Even if both Adams and Hamling come back, we should be able to get them without using 7.

Ok, now I have calmed down a bit :P

Someone suggested Collins and #35 for Hamling and Adams.

^Yep this makes more sense, although leave Adams for us across town, you can take Marsh from Collingwood. ;)

Jake Niall reporting that we aren't interested in Adams or Marsh

I'm not too fussed. Adams isn't a great kick (even though he can kick it a mile) and we struggle by foot out of our backline
Apparently Marsh isn't a very good kick either

valkorum

Its also foxsports, so take it or leave it :)

I think Adams is a better kick than Collins and I agree that Marsh is last on the list of options

This is my order or preference:
Adams
Hamling
Marsh

I listened to Brad Lloyd on 882 this morning. The deal is done, and it seems that the Kersten deal is also so close.
We have done really well.
He also said that he thought they would be able to keep pick 7 for the draft.
It was also spoken of that the club may look at English from Souths. Llloyd said it would depend on whether he was still available to us when pick 7 came around.
Craig Vozz still has not ruled out them looking at Ballantyne.

Alex Pearce is there, do you really need both Hamling and Adams?

anchorman

Why not!!! Gives us a good strong backline,And it seems Adams is not on Fremantle radar.

elephants

Yeah Adams will come to the Eagles I think, besides, key defenders are one thing you can never have too many of!

Yes

Adams, Hamling and Pearce as your key posts for the next 7 - 10 years - sounds amazing to me.

I heard this morning that its pick #35 for Hamling and pick #43 for Kersten
