Berlin VS Toronto

Preview:
Both teams trying to gain an edge with the tactics here in this one. Adamant sticking with the "Takeover" tactic whilst Purple persisting with the seemingly standard "Limit." Berlin has elected to try and tag Toronto new recruit Pendles out of this one with occasional gun Jack Viney.

But the big match every is here to see is Kersten VS Mackie.

I kid. Fyfe VS Pendles! Here we go the 3rd and 4th best players in the league are ready to go head-to-head. Both are captain of their respective sides and dare I say will be perma-captain for the year? We're almost underway here and as you can see, Berlin tried to get an extra number back but Toronto has had none of that and shifted a man forward.

The Game:

Recap:
Obviously as due to the teams structure nullifying each other, no team gets the bonus or penalty.

Viney as tagger lose 15% which takes his 90 down to 77. His tag of Pendles was effective though as he had 3 more tackles. Meaning Pendles loses 15% also. Taking his 141 down to 120. Total gain of +8 by Berlin good work. Pendles finished on 261.

7 goals from the big Buddy gives him a +21! Taking him all the way up to 140!!!!!

Toronto again succesfully used the Takeover and got Savage a +5 onto his score.

It came down to Kerridge needing a big score to get the Wolves home. He needed 141 and despite 35 touches was "only" able to get 126 SC.

Just for the sake of conversation. If The Wolves went Macrae to tag Fyfe, they would have won. Then again lots of what if's in this game. If Pendles layed 1 more tackle or Buddy kicked 1 less goal. Welp that's the game! Overall promising signs for both teams here. Although I think Toronto will feel a little ripped off not being able to pull this one out.

Final Score:
Berlin 1521
Toronto 1507

Up Next:
Rio VS BAA. How will Buenos go without Pendles? Lets see.

Purple 77

Knew Viney was a good bet :D

Also knew Buddy would pay off at some stage! Cool to know that because of those strats, I won

That's a mighty fine effort from Toronto #PendlesEffect

Ricochet

Cloke would have scored 141 Ada ;)

Rio VS Buenos Aires

Preview:
The Jaguars brought back 9 Premiership players for their first hitout since that GF. Although it's a sad day as Jaguars icon Robbie Tarrant has been traded and will be playing his last game in the pristine Jaguars colours here today. We wish Robbie the best! What a legend!

Ablett as C looked to have a big match with no tag coming. The midfield load was on him as there was no Cripps or Hall in the mids today.

Travvy Boak playing for his 3rd team in a few months and coming up against the team he won a Premiership with, is on a hot streak and needs 102 to continue it.

Rio has told KK to lift his DE up back to his premo level as he will be in charge of the takeover. Aires have decided to avoid tactics today, obviously still depressed after trading Pendles for a hack like Tex.

The Game:

Recap:
Travvvvvvyy could not muster up the 102 to continue his hot streak. So he now loses it. He does however get the +10% in this game moving him along to 75. Would have been interesting to see how Pendles would have done in this match.

KK was unable to get above 85 for the Takeover to activate so no bonuses here.

I'm becoming a fan of some of these tactics but I've grown unsure as to how the team structures will work. If BAA had of "Attacked" this week they would have won I believe. That's only if Rio didn't adjust accordingly. However, my biggest problem with it is that teams may well wait until 1 minute before lockout to submit their team in a unique structure to gain an advantage. Not a fan of that.

Final Score:
Rio 1473
Buenos 1375

I have nothing against Ndt.

I have a healthy rivalry with teams like mexico who i have battled with for years

NDT just too irelevant to have all this talk about them. Dublin living with tall poppy syndrone so its just a struggle we live with. Sonetimes it would be nice to have a team where losing a final is the greatest achievement ever (free/Ndt) but have higher standards here.

Shots fired

Tention building

Yeah so. I have it ready. And I have had it ready to go since like 11 this morning but forgot to post it. Now I'll just wait out until tomorrow or something.

In the meantime, I've banned Chappy from coming to the game so fear not.

Dublin VS New Dehli

Preview:
Oi sorry for the delay lads. Had a bad Tinder date. Well ya see. My wifey found out I had a Tinder so she downloaded Tinder and synced it to my profile. Caught red handed! So I go on this date y'all. Bloody guess who's standing there? My wifey! What even! Far out! I weren't even rockin this just like a club, I'm so sick of bein so serious, it's makin my brain delirious. I'm just talkin the truth, telling you bout that che we do. Nah just kidding pals. Some stupid idiot told me I was gonna get IT. SO I naturally asked what IT meant? He said IT!!!! I said get stuffed mate I got Dublin VS NDT coming up! He told me that he was gonna get "The Sword" on me. Whatever...

Treloar VS Gray is a straight up uncontested, untagged matchup here today between the captains. Dublin needing to find a captain in the absence of the in-form Joel Selwood. Who turns out they traded for a much needed defender. TMac of very good quality especially now with Chris Yarran no longer in the game.

The advantage may well sit with NDT after the decided to use the "Flood" tactic. Their defenders get a +10%. Their forwards lose 10%. Whilst Dublin's forwards lose 15% but their backs gain 5%. Overall Dublin's team will lose 4.5% of it's total score and NDT will lose 2%. We'll see how that affects the game!

Both teams have used the limit tactic. Dublin on Jack Riewoldt and New Dehli on Travis Cloke. Hopefully Cloke has em working side to side.

The Game:

Recap:
Good to see big YAZ going out with a bang. 78 good points. Although just like the rest of the Dublin backs he gets a 5% bonus.

Treloar as C went only 202 whilst Robbie G went 276! Big advantage gained there by NDT. Although Rory Sloane single handedly closed that gap right back up! 168 ain't too shabby.

Riewoldt gets + 12 for the limit, taking him to 131 before his 15% structure penalty. Finishes on 112. All the other Dublin forwards also lose 15% because of structure.

All NDT backs get a +10%.

BIG Travvy CLOKE! Booted 3! Giving him +9 on his 72 taking him to 81 before his 10% penalty. Leaving him on 73.

Overall the bonuses/penalties brought the game much closer. Prior to everything Dublin were up 1451 to 1344.

Final Score:
Dublin 1523
New Dehli 1514

What do people think? Is it worth me spending an hour a game and maintaining my commitment to WXV? Thoughts on adding in weather, restings, VC bonuses, forward tactics, defensive tactics, change-up tactics, merchandising partnerships, crowd momentum meter, increased players on field, sub infractions, runner infractions, water-person bonuses, show-off bonus, fitness bonus, in week training, day-by-day training with bonuses associated to what training exercise you choose, fresh breath bonus, non-shower bonus, good sleep bonus, indoctrinated by Chappy bonus, react positively to the media bonus, react negatively to the media penalty, half time coach spray bonus, celebrity in attendance bonus, family bonus, friend bonus, live-scoring and therefore live coaching?

I'm feeling like adding all of these in. Call me young Nicki chiminey!
