Back in the young mids or, get in a gun?

So we have a few decent young midfielders but were found wanting in recent weeks in the middle so.

stick with and back in this group (Some may want more opportunities)
CEY, Gore, B Crouch, M Crouch, Milera, Lyons, Grigg, Atkins, Knight, Wigg

Is there enough emerging talent there to work with pre-season or

Do we need to trade for these? Maybe letting a few of the above go
Rockliff, Martin, Delidio, Hartlett

If CEY and Lyons both depart, it may be worth looking into the crosstown rival

If Sloane goes down with an injury we are up the creek. I think we need an extra gun and rotate as many young ones through at the same time to give them that experience. It is a tough balancing act.

As a Carlton fan I wouldn't mind losing Gibbs if we got your number one pick and a few of CEY, Lyons, Grigg, Dear and even Wigg.

SO today they're (5AA) discussing the Gov and #13 for Gibbs and it seems like Carlton want to hold Adelaide to ransom given his three year contract (Stupid Bryce, could've come for free two years ago)

Personally I'd rather see CEY, Gore, Wigg and Milera get a go, keep #13 and the Gov, Deer or who else and bank on the Crouch Bros rather than over paying for a 28yr barely an A grader

With pick #13 they could get Shag Junior (Jonty Schareberg) or maybe Rockliff and maybe another top 20 pick because it seems Lyons will go

Oh boy. CEY, Gore and Wigg will never be half the player Gibbs is and Milera isn't an inside midfielder so we may as well rebuild going down that route if you're going to overrate our players like that. We aren't getting anywhere with Sloane, Crouch, and Crouch, no one else on our squad is good enough to hold their own in the middle against the best and Gibbs is a definite A grader.

Jonty won't make an impact straight away like Gibbs would and like we need since we are in our window now, not in 4 years. I wouldn't say no to Rockliff though but Gibbs has to be the priority. Lyons won't get us a top 20 pick as well.

Crows are at the stage where the only way they will win a premiership is by adding two or three ready made A grade material players. It's awesome to develop youth and stuff, but whats the point of developing all this youth, becuase by the time theyre all developed our core players will be in nursing homes

I'd be ok with that or something like it otherwise sit with what we have now and develope that.
TBH Gibbs isn't the key that will deliver a flag to us, he'll help no doubt about it but we still need another of his quality or better to be a serious chance at a flag. Teams need 8-10 guys that can play various amounts of minutes in the gut's and even with Gibbs we still don't quite have the 10 guys of the quality needed. Once you get past our best 5 the quality drops off pretty quick. We have the talent on the list but need to develope it further, they just need time.

Why when rocky is the same type as Sloane and the crouches?
