A HAMSTRING setback restricted emerging West Coast midfielder Liam Duggan to light duties, while recruit Nathan Vardy and utility Elliot Yeo were also held out of the Eagles' intraclub practice match on Wednesday.

Duggan is battling a minor leg issue, with the bulked-up third-year Eagle walking and running around the boundary at Wembley Sports Park as his teammates slogged through a three-hour session in scorching conditions.

It is unclear whether the 20-year-old will be available for the start of West Coast's JLT Community Series campaign against Greater Western Sydney on February 18.

Meanwhile, former Geelong big man Vardy is being managed after recently copping a knock to his medial ligament, a slight setback to the injury-plagued 25-year-old's career-best pre-season.


Vardy and Yeo, who is battling a minor calf complaint, joined in skills drills and ran laps but both continue to be sidelined from contact work.
