I did not say we would keep Balla's past his current contract.  I clearly stated that he is still under contract for another season - so if no deal gets done then he stays and plays (as a best 22 player).

Not sure if you understand, but its important for teams to have walk-up depth.

In short, both Balla's and MacKenzie are worth something - it comes down to what the club thinks they are worth... or what they are prepared to accept for them.

So after all that, it looks like Freo will be accepting a 3rd round pick for Ballas, that I will take, not giving up any talent and Freo have to shoot craps to get a decent pick up.
