What is the problem with Rockliff is it his behavior , do the players not want him there , is it money , is it length of contract ?

A few issues Shaker. Obviously his recent tweet and subsequent apology did not help. Also there a number of speculations pertaining to training attitudes including being over weight.

Still think you have big problems in the club if they can't sort this out without losing a player like him

So we've traded picks 2, 31, 51 & 60 to GWS for picks 3 and 16.

Seems like a lot to give up for 16 and a move down the draft order. Not too sure if this one was the right move...

I think we weren't going to take McGrath at 2, so in terms of our first pick, we still get who we want. Then 31, 51, 60 for 16 is a win for us imo.

However, I wish we were gonna grab McGrath :P

Two thoughts from me after catching up
1) we force Suns by nominating Bowes at 3. Win/Win for us
2) We take who we were targeting. Suspect Will Brodie as he is bigger bodied and what we need but who knows what names the l;ist management have for 3. Schwab indicated that they have 4 names targeted at 4.
With Allison falling down the order do not mind trading the picks as we should have at least one pick left to cover him.
We will also get imo a pick 14+ from Suns for Hanley. Pick 22 may be a bit low for him so maybe picks they receive for Prestia or O'Meara will do it leaving us with 5 picks in top 25.

I'm getting a vibe that it will be Tarranto or Brodie.

Hartung rumoured to be being considered by us for pick 16 to be on traded to Suns for O'Meara, which may come back to us for Hanley. So if that is the case why not a three way trade
Hawks get O'Meara give Hartung
Suns give O'Meara get Hanley
Lions give Hanley get Hartung.

Also think there's a fair chance Brisbane might be targeting SPS in the draft. Looks to be a very good player and good signs if he's eager to move interstate.

Have a feeling Toga it would be either him or Brodie as Schwab appears to be comfortable with 3td pick and openly says we will get the player we want. There are apparently 4 that we are targeting with the early picks we now have. If we get another early pick for Hanley may gamble on SPS at next pick after 3.

I could be wrong, but I thought we had originally offered him a mentoring role in the NEAFL (and to be called up to the AFL side if needed), which he turned down? Granted, considering he used to be captain, wasn't the best way to handle things, but I don't think it was bad as the media suggested.

Anyway, happy to have him back at the club :)

Thoughts on our drafting. I rate it 8/10. Had to take McLuggage over Ainsworh. 













Think we did OK as a few of these can play forward as well which I was concerned about. Should not have too much of a go home factor given we recruited 3 Ballaratt Rebels.

Lyons is the interesting pick so hope he works out.

Obviously if he is still available we will take Rolls as one of our rookie picks.
