Dublin Trade: Lewis Jetta
Rio Trade: Josh Bruce

Reason: the guy im trading was apparently better then SJ, he actually looked ok towards the end of the year and the eagles probably could have used him last night. I need forwards though so punting on former Dubliner Bruce. I also drop my cap by 80k.

Confirmed

Not sure what the go is with Hartlett. Coming off 77ave, injury prone and now Port want to trade him. But happy to take the risk

Nige

Cairo give: Pick 39
Christchurch give: Sir Jefferson Garlett

Reason(s):

Jeff Garlett, the man who has kicked the 250th most AFL/VFL goals in history can move for a pick in the 30's. Jeffy had a pretty average year but has four 70+ seasons under his belt including a 78. Plays every week. Still has four seasons left in him. Melbourne improving = more goals.

And we have one bid in already from a very intelligent coach. Draft picks often result in nothing, you'll get a guaranteed return on Buddy's cousin.

Jeff was homeless before he was an AFL player. His junior coach used to feed him before training. Slept in his car. Inspirational player this one.

Garlett is also the nephew of Neon Leon, who peaked right at the end of his career. Jeffrey about to do the same.
Quote from: meow meow on September 08, 2016, 03:56:00 PM
Garlett averaged 100.5 from the first ten games one year. Haven't seen Scharenberg do anything like that,  in fact all I've seen him do is his acl. Jeffy gets it done while these other chumps get by on potential and "will be a gun" for their whole careers.
Quote from: meow meow on September 08, 2016, 04:03:24 PM
Doing your acl isn't that impressive tbh.

250th best goal kicker of all time! Will rise to the top 200 by the time his career has finished. Semi decent? Pfft, Jeffy is a star and I should probably be asking for a premo mid in return.

1194th most games played, 250th most goals kicked of any player... ever!

31st most goals kicked for Carlton

98th most goals kicked for Melbourne.

2011: 48 goals
2012: 29 goals
2013: 43 goals
2014: 12 goals
2015: 40 goals
2016: 29 goals

I think it's safe to assume that Jeffy is going to kick 40+ goals next year since he's due.

Contracted for another 3 seasons. He will have just turned 30 at the end of that so a good chance to play for another couple after that too. 5 seasons of brilliance from an AFL star for a pick in the 30's? Bargain.

meow to confirm.

Confirmed :'( :'( :'(

Reason: Gotta free up cap space for Rockliff and Priddis

Torpedo10

Berlin Give: Josh Cowan
Moscow Give: Hayden Ballatyne

We have decent forward depth, and I see potential in Cowan.

Confirmed.

DVR may be cut this year as been up and down in the VFL for 2 seasons but worth a punt from us as I like his spunk. Anybody with a hyphenated surname deserves a chance at PNL.

Adamant

Toronto give: Jack Watts + Michael Close + Ben McKay
Rio de Janeiro give: Travis Boak + Lewis Taylor + Tom Lamb

Reason: Watts averaged 8 less than Boak but seeing as he's three years younger and being a forward vs mid meant we needed something extra. Taylor averaged 58 this season and might lose forward status but hoping he can rebound somewhat next year.

Levi to confirm.

Berlin trade: Lachlan Henderson + Pick 8
New York trade: Stephen Hill + Pick 14

Stephen Hill works perfectly for me actually, because I was after a decent but affordable mid to go onto my utilities. I had defenders to spare, I needed some good mid depth... this trade works really well for me.

Confirmed.

Whilst Hill is a loss Henderson is a perfect fit for our side. Averaged 80 in 2016 and with potential cat retirements he is a player who has scope for improvement in scoring in future years and gives more coverage when Gibbo retires.
