First impressions?

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but we haven't really gotten into the real gameplay yet. Blue team is beasting it!

Super impressed, glad they stuck with the American formula/script a fair bit.

Sad Des went tbh, had some game and was an interesting character.

Yep I'm hooked, much better than I expected as it's following the US model, the host ain't no Probst though!  It's on on Mondays too, do we know what that episode is going to be?

My early pick for winner is the dude with the cobweb tatt, highly likeable and works his ass off.  Still lots of players who we don't know much about yet though, however I'm sticking with my pick.  It's a little game I've played since the 1st season, trying to pick a winner just from the first episode, I've picked 18 of the winners in the 1st ep so far!  :D

Yep was also a fan, so happy they stuck to the US script so far.

Called Des being first boot early on in the episode, if you're going to be a villain that's fair enough but you at least have to be nice to some people and form friendships/alliances in order to survive and later deceive/lie to/stab in the back these people - he made no relationships to speak of and was a certainty to be eliminated if they lost the challenge (his challenge performance just another nail in his coffin).

I didn't really get to know the characters too well, but I'm going for Conner and the chick who the preview says goes a bit mental tomorrow night who's name I do not know. Go them. Lee, Jennah, Flick, and Nick are alright by me too.

Overall decent first ep but plenty of room to both improve and possibly get worse.

In defence of LaPaglia, Probst took a few seasons to really grow into the role. First ep and all, was clearly nervous. Give him a few episodes to find his feet and come in to his own.

Nick's my winner pick, but Sam and Kylie scream winners and I feel it's likely to be one of them.

Wanna see content from those who were invisible, namely Barry!

I don't think there are tbh (seeing as we didn't get the "If anybody has a hidden immunity idol and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so", which disappointed me) at least not at this point, which is disappointing. Hopefully they bring them in later, maybe after the merge?

Found that Lapaglia said there would be idols, I guess just they don't come into play until sometime later on.

The preview from last night for the next ep pretty much looks like the same thing that happened in Worlds Apart (S30) of the US version. Two tribe members will choose between an idol clue and food/comfort etc. Basically, we'll definitely have idol talk next ep.
