Just wondering what peoples thoughts might be in regards to tags for the last 2 rounds. Will Leppa throw Mitch at Danger or Selwood? Rich a solid candidate for some close attention in the same game. Guthrie to Rich? Will Jack Steven cop Mitch Rd 23? Who does Rossbags new found tagger (Sheridan) go to against the Bullies Rd23. Dahl? Hunter? Will Jacobs (Kangaroos) come back this week? Can he have an impact straight away? Etc...

Well you have to look at blokes who tag and which clubs they play for.

The only taggers we know of (I've included weekly taggers in bold)

Brisbane - Robbo
Carlton - Curnow
Collingwood - Greenwood
Freo - Sheridan
Geelong - Scooter
Hawks - Shiels
NM - Jacobs
Melb - Viney
PA - Ebert/Mitchell
Rich - Grigg
Sydney - Titch

Adelaide, Essendon, West Coast, Dogs, Giants, Suns, Saints don't tag

So Robbo, Curnow, Guthrie and Sheridan are the ones to be afraid of.

Robbo has Cats, Saints
Expect him not to tag this week, maybe a run with role on Danger. Expect him to tag Steven the week after though

Curnow has Dees, Bombers
Expect him to go H2H this week, and then Zaha in Rd 23

Scooter has Brisbane, Dees
Expect him to go to Rich this week, go H2H against Demons

Sheridan has Giants, Dogs
Expect him to go to Shiel this week, Bont Rd 23

Other possibilities though
Guthrie to Zorko this week
Viney to Cripps this week, and then Viney to Danger/Jelly Rd 23
Vince to Danger/Jelly Rd 23
Greenwood to S Mitch Rd 23
Shiels to Shuey this week
Grigg to Steven this week
Titch to Dusty Rd 23
Ebert to Sloane this week

And then Ben Jacobs if he returns could be the danger man.
Could go to Parker/Hanners this week and then Shiel in Rd 23

Great write up Wato. Those who had Sloane this week will know all too well what a difference it can make. Not sure I agree with all the teams on the 'don't tag' list. I agree in general but there are some possible exceptions. Douglas may get a negating role on Gaff in Rd 23. The Dogs have 2 'easy' games but Picken could still go to any mid who looks to be getting away. Crowley might still get a goodbye game & tag yet.

Do agree that Douglas could go to Gaff.
Picken won't tag. Treloar got away from them on Friday night and they left him unopposed in a close game. Bevo backs his mids against the opposition.
Doubt Crowley gets a goodbye game. Parish & Goddard to come back in before him.

For future reference, West Coast have Nelson who tags but he isn't best 22 and Giants have Coniglio who gets run with roles but hasn't had any for many weeks now. Seems LC has moved that out of his game plan.

Re Saints & Suns they don't tag at all. Richo has brought a new, fast paced and offensive game style, much different to Lyon and previous before him. Clint Jones is no more for the Saints.
And I think Rocket Eade recognises that his mids are too weak to burn too much ammunition into chasing the oppositions best mids. Raines is also cooked who had had roles in the past.

What you generally see is what you get
