Can I delist Ben Reid, then get whatever pick he's taken at in the draft? Let's say Seoul take him at pick 9, can I get that pick without having to negotiate a trade for it? It's funny that people can block trades if a player isn't deemed to be worth the pick they're giving up, but it's open season during the draft. Cairo couldn't trade pick 1 for Reid, yet they could draft him with pick 1 if they wanted to.

So Seoul use Pick 9, you get Pick 9 - How do you actually use it? (Seeing as Seoul already had)

Pick 9 would go down as my pick to use, while Reid for 9 gets listed as a trade.

actually thought this was an interesting idea, thing is it would slow down the draft and also so what happens if he slips to like 25 .

Also can we block the pick if they take Reid pick 1?

Can we block them from taking Joe Atley at 1? If they think he's worth it who are we to say he's not? It's an anomaly in the trade voting.

If Reid slips to a pick I wouldn't be happy with then I could withdraw him from the pool, or perhaps once you put a player up then you've just got to accept whatever happens, even if you get pick 70 back.

If you are trading players for picks, why not just have an auction?  The highest bid wins, can't be rejected.

GoLions

I'm a fan.

Perhaps you could say that you're putting a player into the draft up until (for example) pick 50, and he is withdrawn after that?

Or as meow said, just accept whatever happens.

This is what I was thinking.

That could work too. Maybe have it just before the draft.

With the in-draft thing opinions/valuations will change mid draft when teams can see who is available in comparison. Might be a good thing, might be a bad thing.

adds more completities imo

but not saying i dislike it
but don't think you can put them up then take it back

that is the risk you take putting them up imo

The Royals coaching staff after discussions have nominated midfielder Luke Shuey for their coaches award.
Shuey was one of the unsung heroes of our midfield and lifted his average from 97 to 106.

Dane Rampe deserves honorable mention as well for his efforts in our defence.

Cap

  • 100% of this years score/ 90% of last years score if it is higher.
  • Max cap 5% higher than the average. Doesn't need to be a lot higher since the higher scores are accounted for in the average.
  • Players who average less than 70 (depth quality) only have 50% of their points counted under the cap. Spuds and young developing players don't cost half as much as Dangerfield.

There's a significant difference in value between a depth player and a starter in this competition and that should be accounted for in the cap. A team that has ten 50 averaging spuds shouldn't have to pay much for having them on their list.

I still dont get it.

The bottom teams have good draft picks. As long as trading  is fair then as long as people draft well and identify talent well the bottom teams will catch the top teams. The top teams players also decline and retire.

If someone can pick up guns like Merrett at pick 27 or identify talent then why shouldn't thry be on top.

Rico and ele did it why cant others? Do we have so little faith in the coaches in this league?

Other than your grating personality, what's stopping Dublin from trading in Beams and in effect having a cap 1200 points more than every other team? Throw in Heppell, Hibberd, and Hooker and you're looking at 35,000 vs everyone else's 30,000. You WILL exploit any and every loophole. I'm just suggesting a way to make it a more even playing field (even though Watson and Sandilands will whoop me).
