my theory is they take goals scored into account so that's why there are more forwards
No, they don't take goals or goal assists into account

And this on the "Goal Assist" theory

There will be more forwards because a lot of mids rest forward

isnt the magic number 35% so at 32% if he starts spending just a little bit more time up front (like 40%) then he sneaks in as a fwd.
Correct

I think what I am getting at is they are willing to change there rules like for Gaz's price this year so they can change there rules in allocating DPP players this year is a perfect example in the backs there needed to be a bigger pool of players with good AVG's

Cam McCarthy should be a cheap key forward should Freo pick him up from GWS. Discounted due to not playing this year. Wirh Pav out he is a key target

Yeah I agree, unless he is less than 150k I wouldn't touch him

agreed. good for f6 or f7. Actually think 65 might be abit of a stretch, 60 is probably more realistic.

we wont be as lucky as we were this year with Kerridge Wells etc...

Really am looking forward to next year. Gonna be a lot harder to get to your end team I reckon

Especially if the Dons blokes don't get discounted. If they do, well, then it'll be easy as pie

True, but he has the history of stringing a couple of good scores together, look at the start of 2015. Relatively confident he can do a job for us if fit.

Libba... averaging 90.8 courtesy of injuries/scores R13-19...10-15 points down at least on what he should average.
Murphy ...averaging 79.5 courtesy of a 12 & 36 in 10 games... clearly needs to be considered in 2017. Doubt I'll get him though.
Rockliff...no matter what he finally averages he will be a bargain based on his slow start to this season. I know injury risk/ games missed is a concern but he ranks only behind Danger and Fyfe as the best in SC for mine. Fyfe will be cheap for who he is too.
Bont...as for Rocky...slow start to the season where he didn't score 100+ in 6 of first 7 games means he'll be cheap for what he's worth.
Yarran...no word on his mental health or return but if up and running early next year he'd be a consideration as a defender with a discount. JOM and Bennell will be in everyone's teams. Then there's Swan, Swallow and Roughead.
Wouldn't consider any rucks...Stef, Sandi, Longer...etc.
Wouldn't consider any down/out of form/inconsistent players like Armitage, Yeo, Motlop...etc.

Some names that haven't been mentioned much:

Def: Langdon, Roberton, KK
Fwd: Devon Smith, Christensen, Jamie Elliott

As mentioned, there are plenty in the mids, and none really worth taking in the rucks.

I agree, Elliot could be a chance as he should be priced around 248k, but only if I'm desperate for rookies

_wato

Elliot you'd nearly have to choose as this years Kerridge pick (a poor man's Wells pick)

Dunno what's happened to KK but he's gone to shower. Devon Smith a gun though will be too expensive

Traded out three of those guys in AXVIIISC, so hoping they don't do much :P won't be too mad though, they basically earned me Jenkins, Hunter, and Goddard ;)
