Will the general get Selwood?

Need to bring in a midfielder for Libba this week? Selwood looks the obvious one but really can't afford him to get rested this week/late withdrawal? Is there a chance of that or do I go a Safier option of slone/Neale/Bont?

One would think so.. Had little preseason and hasnt had a break yet (apart from the byes)

Danger game is one of the next 3, and most likely this week v Dons or Round 22 v the Lions at the Gabba

Who does everyone think the Safire option is who won't get rested in the next 2 weeks?

_wato

As you've stated in your original post mate, Bont is no chance of rest (they've already lost half their team), Neale could get rested because Freo are shower but I doubt it, and Sloaney could always get the general due to their easy draw but they'll want to sew up top 2 so he'll play every week.

For me

Safest option
Bont > Neale > Sloane > Jelly

Best option (point scoring)
Jelly > Sloane > Neale > Bont

Yeah been looking at JPK. Can he keep up his scoring? Awesome draw but surely he is feeling sore?

22 games in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.

20 in 2014.

Only missed one this year and a bye pre finals looming.

Swans want a home final - looking tempting.

Believe me Danger Selwood and Sloane will all be rested I have them all and I have had every player that has been rested or injured in the last 3 weeks  :P

This applies to Geelong too. Selwood had a bye a few weeks ago and he has another coming up. Surely he's safe to play out the season. I would expect him to miss this week otherwise not at all. They're gunning for a top 2 spot and it'll likely come down to percentage

Exactly this

However I'd be more worried about Danger getting got by the General

Danger (and Jelwood) are chasing Charlie - a rest could cost them

HappyDEZ

With spots 2-4 still up for grabs, combined with the weeks gap to finals, it might be a very different approach this year for the top teams.

This plus the fact that top 2 and top 4 is going to come down to a race of percentages Geelong can't afford these guys to be sitting on the sidelines.
