Surely everyone knows by now, it's whether or not they are to teammates or opponents

anywhere from -60 to 300
hahaha.

I think rucks overscore in SC.  Wouldn't mind it being -2 or -3 for a clear sharked hitout.  Maybe even -4 if it directly leads to a clearance.

They were over scoring a few years ago when they got 1pt for each HO, thats why they changed the scoring

Now its 5 for a HOTA, 0 for and ineffective HO and -1 for a sharked HO

Isn't it only 5 in the 50? And 3 in the middle of the ground?

I think the current scoring better than previously however not a huge fan.
I'd like to see it 3-4 for HOTA 1 for ineffective (as in to a contest 1v1) and 0 for hit outs directly to an opposition player as it's barely a clanger..

I want to see what a Hit out to advantage actually is. I see soo many time Goldy deliver a ball right to a north player and not get a HTA. But then the exact opposite play happens but it goes to a north opponent and instant -1

I think it's when it's tapped to a player who can then effectively dispose of the ball.

So if Goldy taps it to Swallow who is immediately nailed in a tackle then it's not counted as a HOTA

I know thats why im complaining. Goldy taps it to swallow takes a few steps then gets tackled 0 points. Goldy taps its to jack Steven takes a few steps and its -1.

Also its abit rough as if it Goldy taps it to swallow takes a few steps breaks a tackle and then kicks it into the 50 that would be +5 right?

so this is why i say Gawn isnt that good its just the guys he hits it to our.

I remember many people saying the exact opposite last year when Goldstein was going bananas ;)

Remember the "scoring system" isn't made up the way the DT one is, it's meant to reflect the impact a player has on a game. So the recent change to how hit outs were awarded was because CD figured that it was a more accurate representation of ruckman influence.

i think they are also due to how good the players around them are thats why gawn has gone so good, Melbournes extractors are better then Norths.

As i said hit it straight to a guy he breaks a tackle makes a clerance you get +5.
You hit it straight to a guy he miss steps, doesnt break a tackle and its +0
