Just wanted to clarify, if a player retires after a BXV trades is made and accepted, does the trade automatically become null and void (similar to the trade involving Mike Pike last season)? Or is it a case of buyer beware?
Accepted by both coaches, or accepted and approved by Ringo and myself?

If it hasn't yet been approved, I'd say it would be cancelled. If it has...maybe up to the coaches involved.

I didnt think the Pyke one was approved last season and hence was rejected by Ringo? But once approved locked in? idk haha

Probably up to the coaches involved then. If you wanted to reverse the trade, we'd approve (unless it went against the best interests of the Badgers of course ;)).

Ringo

Yep the Pike one from memory was rejected because he retired during the approval process.

Basically if trade approved think it is a case of coach beware. Badgers have traded in Marcon who has been de-listed but hoping he will be picked up by another club. Was aware of this.

So do not want to create a precedent at the moment.

Personally l think it has to be buyer beware. If it's been approved then so be it and coaches should have no say in it at all, if not approved then of course it has to be voided though.

Possible delistings:
Tanner Smith (d/f perhaps, can score alright), Clay Cameron (85 def), Cameron Shenton (def depth), Jack Leslie (111 def, but only played 1 game), Seb Tape (90+ def), Liam McBean (fwd depth), Alan Toovey, Nick Kommer (fwd depth), Robbie Nahas (fwd depth)
Just a reminder, if anyone sees any potential in these guys at all, will take the best pick offer I get. Otherwise all getting delisted (except possibly the Tanner at this stage)
Still a few gems left :P

Shenton went 90+ in 2014/15, and didn't get delisted, so I guess the Saints expect him to go alright and possibly get more games next year.

Nahas averaged 96 last year, and 100 in 2014, which is pretty handy if North start giving him a few more games.

Figure I may as well do a full post here. Don't really have any untouchables, but also kinda do haha.

Won't trade unless being upgraded to a better player of their position:
Cotchin, Prestia, Shuey, Nicholls/Currie, Matho, Reddo

Hard to get:
Lynch, Sir Daniel of Caleb, Libba, Howe, Cutler, Barlow, Oleg, Costanza

Happy to trade:
DEF - Boyd, Lonergan, Stretch, Harbrow, Hurn, Harwood, Butler, Emac, Reuben

MID: Riska, NDS, Hanley, Sier, Marcon, Kmac

RUCK: Grimley

FWD: Lecca, Cooney, Higgins, Papley, Fasolo, Milera, Crameri, Short, Hammelmann, Elliott
And a quick update here:

So, in terms of mids, I'm happy to do a 2-for-1 type deal to land an elite mid. Other than that, basically looking at probably a slightly better D2, and always happy to accept picks for any depth players. Emac and Butler I could be happy to package for anyone looking for defensive depth, as you would expect that one of them plays each week. Butler has averaged 102, 115, and 94 over the last 3 years, and Emac went at a tick under 100 this year, but averaged 120 in 2014 before doing his ACL in the 2015 pre-season. Another pre-season under his belt could see him in some better form and get back into that Eagles backline and scoring well!

Also happy to hear offers for Riska and NDS. Apparently Riska was aiming at a return to AFL before R10 next year, however I haven't heard anything for a while. Would probably be looking for either an old defender or forward, or a pick, however also happy to just keep them as they score well. And yes, I'm expecting Dal Santo to get picked up by another club, still has ~2 years left imho.

Is there any rule here like in WXVs, where if you enquired about a player, there is no response from the coach and they get traded the trade could be cancelled?

T Dog

Hedgies at the table with Parker and our 2nd NatPick. #29.

We have had a variety of interest, inquiries and offers from 8 coaches that involve Parker.

So, we offer Parker + ND 29 in a deal
We are just looking for 2 proven mids. (140 + average)

The delay has been us getting the Hedgie  plan sorted. Apologies to early approaches but we needed a little time.

T Dog

Hedgies 2nd trade offer

Nic Nat + our Rd1 ND pick #11.
Again looking for a 2 proven Mids  or a gun + shown potential.
Yes we know Nic Nat is out for the season. Its just if you want him for the season after.

Read the Trades' OP.  ;)

Ringo

Realise we do do not have a formal rule here but it would be polite to inform any coaches that have asked you about a trade to advise them of your decisions before posting a trade for confirmation.
We have usually been very good in this regard so just a reminder about being courteous.
