Just finished a draft on ESPN and it looks like they update the waiver order after the draft anyway

It's normally the case but because it isn't set to standing order I thought I would do it just to be safe.

I had the same issue trying to do a mock. It's all working now.

Mat0369

My mock before our draft

AJ Green
Brandon Marshall
Hyde
Edelman
Luck
Jennings

Our draft

Gurley
Shady
Edelman
Olsen
Moncrief
Sanders

Well that was completely different. I didn't draft a QB until round 11 and my WR's are kind of depressing in comparison.

So I do this every year, so let's do it again. My draft review, where I break down what I was thinking and why I took what I did.

Round 1. Pick 2: Julio Jones. WR. ATL
I pretty much knew when Holz said he was taking Brown who I was getting, Julio was my boy last year and he'll remain my boy this year.
Other Options: OBJ. He was the other clear choice. But I rate Julio more. Simple as that.

Round 2. Pick 23: Keenan Allen. WR. SD
I actually had Allen #18 on my board so to get him at 23 was a bonus. Especially with what was around at the time.
Other Options: Alshon Jeffery. He was my #19. But I don't know if he'll play 16 games, Allen probably will.

Round 3. Pick 26: Jarvis Landry. WR. MIA
So I let the clock wind to single digits here, because I had a clump of 4 WR's together in the 22-26 spots. I thought about a while but in the end went for Landry, who I think has top 15 pick upside, not sure I could say that about the other 3.
Other Options: Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, T.Y Hilton. They were the other 3 I was thinking of here. Sammy was actually the highest on my board, but I figured with the 2 anchors I had I could take a punt.

Round 4. Pick 47: Danny Woodhead, RB, SD
To say I was ecstatic was an understatement. My #37 ranked player still waiting for me 10 picks later. In a PPR league I am delighted to roster him.
Other Options: None really, once Woodhead was there it was my only option

Round 5, Pick 50: DeMarco Murray, RB, TEN
I did have to hold my nose for this pick, with good reason. Murray was actually my #38 rank so it's actually a good buy but...he's DeMarco Murray
Other Options: Latavius Murray, Doug Baldwin. I liked them. But I decided to trust the board I'd prepared, which when Murray came up showed a 13 spot gap between him and my next highest (Baldwin)

Round 6. Pick 71: Charles Sims, RB, TB
Doug Martin has hands of granite. Everytime they have a passing down Sims is the guy, not even on my radar normally, gold in a PPR.
Other Options: Ironically the only other player I considered was.....

Round 7, Pick 74: Frank Gore, RB, IND
I needed safety, with Murray and two PPR guys I needed a workhorse I could rely on in a pinch, of what was left, that's Gore.
Other Options: None. Gore was it when he was there

Round 8, Pick 95: Torrey Smith, WR, SF
Every number 1 reciever in a Chip Kelly offence has been a stud. Do I think Torrey will be? No. But even with Blaine Gabbert he'll be serviceable with that upside and with three studs in the three spots. I can take a punt here.
Other Options: Honestly, not a lot, there were a couple of wideouts I liked but not as much

Round 9, Pick 98: Bilal Powell, RB, NYJ
I don't buy the fact that Matt Forte is going to be an every down back, Powell will get his. Powell was #79 on my board. So to get him here is fine by me.
Other Options: Derrick Henry, could've taken Murray's handcuff, probably should've taken Murray's handcuff, but Powell's value to me was too good to pass at that moment.

Round 10, Pick 119: Tyrod Taylor, QB, BUF
As I remarked in the draft, it's amazing how Taylor keeps falling to me in almost every draft I'm in. Taylor was my #96 so to get him here is perfect. I think now he knows he's the starter he'll be better.
Other Options: None. I needed a QB and Taylor was a perfect fit

Round 11, Pick 122: Michael Thomas, WR, NO
Another lottery ticket, Drew Brees throws a ton and with Thomas likely to be the #3 WR he'll get some good looks.

Round 12, Pick 143: Shane Vereen, RB, NYG
Do I even need to explain why he's here? I was considering drafting a backup QB here but the last guy I considered viable, Jameis Winston, went two picks before me. So I went for another PPR golden boy.

Round 13, Pick 146: Tyler Boyd, WR, CIN
Another lottery ticket, but one who's starting alongside the injured Tyler Eifert and the often triple teamed A.J Green. He's shown glimpses in pre-season that he might just be a good little catch this late.

Round 14, Pick 167: Eric Ebron, TE, DET
I don't hate the pick for where it is, I could've taken a TE earlier but there was always someone rated higher on my board, so I waited, and waited, and waited. Ebron is probably a steal if he plays all the games, which he won't but he's better than what was left.

Overall: I think it's a pretty solid draft, I'm a bit short at RB and if Taylor gets injured I'm flowered but overall if you'd offered me this team at the start I'd have grabbed it.

Holz

so who do we think is the favorite after the draft?

im pretty happy with my squad but how can you not be with antonio brown.

I like Alshon Jefferey as my WR2 and have a high payoff potential in Edie Lacy if not have handcuffed him with james Starks.

Rawls should be good without beast mode and i really like the John Brown pick.

Coby Fleener a little worse then i wanted at TE but he is a solid enough starter in a 12 man league Virgil Green is my big smokie probably starting for the Broncos but have to rely on this Sienman kid.

I know people laugh at picking a kicker but top kicker 3 of the last 5 years and top 3 kicker the last 5 years. Could ass 3-4 points a game on others so ill take that.

not sure on the bengals D at all but was the best on the board at the time.

Aiken on the bench another wildcard, probably fighting for the flex spot
