Libba M/F?

Mills could be a decent option down back. Salivating over the prospect in WXV :-*

Hartlett def

hope so, will take him in an instant, probs my favourite player at port

fanTCfool

Obviously Trengove from Port will gain Ruck status, but will he keep defender status?

Great call. Being a dogs supports I've obviously watched our matches  closely this year and both Libba and Jack Macrae are chances of getting forward status. Both rotating between half forward and on the ball.
There are always a few options that come out of left field.

SilverLion

Taylor Adams (Def/Mid)
Robbie Gray (Fwd/Mid)
Montagna (Def/Fwd)
Blicavs Mid Only
Zac Merrett Mid Only
Dustin Martin Mid Only
Wells Mid Only

I'm hoping if Dusty gets named on the HFF in the All Australian team it might save his forward eligibility!

Be nice if Robbie Gray was a forward again too.

If Macrae gets f/m and lifts his average 5 pts  he's a lock.  Still developing, lots of improvement left in him.

An interesting one here, i welcome any opinions on it

Ryan Bastinac for forward status. Named in the forward pocket 8 games this year and on the bench 7 (so hard to know where he comes on). Only watched last two games closely and he played forward in those alot (but also his score has dropped last two round so im not sure if its a new role). What do people think?

I don't think where they're named has anything to do with it - pretty sure it's based on the heat maps of where they get possessions through the year.

If players go forward/back a certain % it's then entertained

GoLions

It's where they line up relative to the ball. A combination of me not watching enough Brisbane games and not knowing what Bastinac looks like (:P) means I'm not sure if he's a chance at DPP or not. I'd assume not though for now.

Nope not how it work.

And where they are named is a good indication of where they line up. Obviously not always, which is why im asking as i dont watch enough games :)

Damn i was really hoping atleast the Brisbane supporters watched enough :P

Bit offended you think i dont know how position are decided :( However where they are named is the best indicator ive got to where they start (and im sure is relatively good but not always). Which is why i asked :P (Plus he certainly played forward last two weeks)

hahaha, ofcourse :P My bad :D

PowerBug

A few ones only really relevant for draft comps:
Jackson Trengove - Back/Ruck (Ryder returns though so his relevance will be basically moot)
Lachie Henderson - Back only (Don't think he's played forward)
David Mundy - Back/Centre (Been getting Back status in AF last two years, should get it now)
Orazio Fantasia - Forward (Was a fwd in 2014 and is a Back only in 2015, 2nd in Essendon's goal kicking will be Fwd again)

But the main one that I think will be interesting, Mark Blicavs. Will he retain Ruck status?? Some things worth noticing: he has 7.44 hitouts per game, less than about everyone who is a ruckman and has played a decent amount of games. Rory Lobb (R/F atm) averages 6.75, Josh Walker 5.90, Tom Boyd 5.2 (Going up if he plays ruck like tonight), Jenkins 5.19 and it's a big drop off after that. Just above Blicavs though at 7.80 is Mason Cox, who might retain it??

Looking at last years numbers Lobb was at 8.89 per match, Nankervis 8.40 both ruckmen in 2016, but next is Vickery at 5.67 who doesn't have ruck status. So it's a tough one. His last 6 weeks might be a deciding factor. If I had to guess now I would say no though.
