Ablett (Mid/Fwd)
Gray (Mid/Fwd)
Griffen (Mid/Fwd)
Montagna (Def/Mid)
Deledio (Def/Mid)
Mundy (Def/Mid)
Kelly (Def/Mid) [If Playing]
Hanley (Def/Fwd)

I wish but I doubt a lot of those will be happening

Docherty to become a mid?

Has Hall played enough forward to retain M/F?

Considering Doc hasn't left the back flank all year he won't.

Joey will get DEF/MID and NRoo FWD/MID

If Lids hadn't just injured himself DEF/FWD was a chance.

Bartel probably gets DEF/MID.

It probably depends what percentage of games they look at before they make the call. For example Pendles spent an entire month at HB early in the season. He has been pure mid since. Stef Martin and Barlow both spent about the same amount of time up forward.

Are we thinking a few more rucks get FWD status? I see all the Carlton rucks getting DPP. When Phillips is in the team both he and Kreuz see about 50/50 split.

I tell you what

Forwards will be miserable next year

we thought the same this year

Plenty of value though. Bennell and Roughy (pending on what happens) will be cheap as chips. Elliot another potential bargain.
Deledio had an injury interrupted season and looks like it will be his first season in a loooong time he's averaged under 100 so there's value there.
There will definitely be some guns that lose DPP but there's always a few surprises that gain it
Josh Thomas another who will be value and with plenty of potential

Exactly what I'm saying, miserable. Everybody will start with Bennell & Dahl, and if Roughy is fit he's in too. Elliott will be in everyone's teams if named Round 1, and everyone will end up with Lids at some point.

Mids will be the difference, however most of the ultra premos are easy to guess.

It's not a matter of what Dangers position will be is a matter of are you prepared to pay 700k+ for him

Yep exactly like Goldy last year. However I think you'll find a mid will find it easier to bridge the gap more so than it was with the rucks this year. Don't think I'll fork out the $700k price tag

ronl

The ultimate M/F, I'd pay whatever they want for Danger. He has absolutely dominated this year, a set-and-forget captain who produced the goods week-in and week-out.  No reason to suspect that Geelong will tamper with their existing formula, although I think there's a chance Motlop will be packing his bags if they can swing a good deal with another club.

Danger and Pendles are the two I will start with regardless of their price. Always reliable

And when trying to guess who might get DPP, remember

disagree 700k for him as a mid (which he will be) ill need to think about it.

700k+ as a forward he is a lock.

unlike this year i can see alot of good mid rookies and not as many cheap forwards.

700K will give coaches plenty to think about.  I didn't take Goldy this year due to price.   Has cost me 313 (diff) points for 1 less game.   On that basis the extra money was worth while.   Also the additional captain options.

When I started a couple of years ago I can remember all the advice about GAJ and being perma captain.   Danger has jumped over Pendles and is our new Perma captain.    Will be in my team at the start next year for sure.    Next year it will be Goldy or Gawn for R1.   and assess who gets F/R status as R2/F3-4 options.

Lol I'm already keen for next year ahahhaha
